I'm working at Sauce Labs on a fast MITM proxy. If you are using mitmproxy, Fiddler or Charles proxy in your job I believe you'll find it invaluable. Forwarder 1.1 is now available, complete with a Grafana Dashboard for effortless monitoring. We are committed to making it great. I welcome your feedback. Cheers Michał

A fast SOCKS5 proxy that tunnels your traffic through what looks like normal SMTP email, bypassing Deep Packet Inspection firewalls. How it works: - Client runs a local SOCKS5 proxy (127.0.0.1:1080) - Traffic is sent to server disguised as SMTP (EHLO, STARTTLS, AUTH) - DPI sees legitimate email session, not a VPN/proxy Features: - One-liner install on any Linux VPS - Multi-user with per-user secrets and IP whitelists - Auto-generated client packages (just double-click to run) - Auto-reconnect on connection loss - Works with any app that supports SOCKS5 Tech: Python/asyncio, TLS…

Hey HN, I've been working on an intercepting proxy for penetration testing over the last few years in my spare time. Some points of difference from the existing tools: * The UIs are built using the native platform frameworks, meaning they look and behave like other applications on the desktop. * It has a fully embedded and integrated Python scripting engine. * It’s fully native meaning it’s nicer on system resources. * It has a number of built in scripts to automate reconnaissance, content discovery, authorisation checks, etc. * The core of it is open source. I'm really keen to get any…

Hey HN! This is Adil, Salman and Jose and and we’re behind archgw [1]. An intelligent proxy server designed as an edge and AI gateway for agents - one that natively know how to handle prompts, not just network traffic. We’ve made several sweeping changes so sharing the project again. A bit of background on why we’ve built this project. Building AI agent demos is easy, but to create something production-ready there is a lot of repeat low-level plumbing work that everyone is doing. You’re applying guardrails to make sure unsafe or off-topic requests don’t get through. You’re clarifying vague…

Hey everyone. I built an MTProto proxy for Telegram aimed at bypassing active DPI censorship like the Russian TSPU. I chose Zig because it's perfect for writing fast network daemons and makes it incredibly easy to port low-level C bypass techniques like TCP desync and packet fragmentation. Would love to get some feedback or contributors!

Hi HN! This is Salman, Adil, Shuguang and Co working on ArchGW[1] - an open-source lightweight proxy server for prompts - written in Rust and built on top of Envoy[2]. Arch moves the critical but pesky handling and processing of prompts: task understanding, prompt routing, safety, and observability - outside business logic. Its an edge and egress proxy for agentic apps. We've talked to 100s of developers at places like Twilio, GE Healthcare, Redhat, Square, etc and there was a consistent theme in building AI apps: to move past a nascent demo they are left to their own devices in building out…

TL;DR explanation (go to https://github.com/Sakura-sx/Aroma?tab=readme-ov-file#tldr-e... if you want the formatted version) This is done by measuring the minimum TCP RTT (client.socket.tcpi_min_rtt) seen and the smoothed TCP RTT (client.socket.tcpi_rtt). I am getting this data by using Fastly Custom VCL, they get this data from the Linux kernel (struct tcp_info -> tcpi_min_rtt and tcpi_rtt). I am using Fastly for the Demo since they have PoPs all around the world and they expose TCP socket data to me. The score is calculated by doing tcpi_min_rtt/tcpi_rtt. It's…

I've been researching the bot & proxies space for years. I slowly incubated a service to protect public forms, contents and APIs. It recenty reached a few million daily requests and I now dare to bring it to light. Truesign detects bots, proxies/vpns and fake emails, through a single request from the browser, without challenges or user interaction. It can block the request based on rules you choose, or grant a token with encrypted information about the visitor for you to decide. I created a few pages to showcase how it works: - https:/demo.truesign.ai/protected-form : a form…
