24 alternatives to QueryBurst
After nearly 3 decades in SEO (yes, really), I built QueryBurst, a tool that connects directly to your Google Search Console account and gives you actual insights, without the usual mess of keyword scraping, competitor spying, or bloated dashboards. Why I built it I got tired of the usual workflow: - Exporting GSC data into spreadsheets or Looker Studio - Merging with crawl data or running manual audits - Writing prompts by hand for LLMs - Fighting the API’s limits, sampling, and UI quirks - Trying to keep a simple story straight across thousands of keywords So I built something that: - Uses…

SEO Stuff▲614Hi HN! My name is Yossi, and I'm a solo indie maker. SEO tools are super pricey and free tools often fall short, leaving most users to costly subscription-based tools. So, I built SEO Stuff, a keyword tool that uses a credit-based system for builders like me who use SEO more sporadically. Have a great day!

I built this tool because I wanted a way to just take a bunch of URLs or domains, and query their content in RAG applications. It takes away the pain of crawling, extracting content, chunking, vectorizing, and updating periodically. I'm curious to see if it can be useful to others. I meant to launch this six months ago but life got in the way...

I'd like to invite everyone to try out DontBeEvil.rip, an experimental search engine for developers. tl;dr $ alias rip="curl -G -H 'Accept: text/plain' --url https://dontbeevil.rip/search --data-urlencode " $ rip 'q=Heartbleed bug' DontBeEvil.rip is a year long experiment to see if a small team can build a developer-focused search engine that is self-sustaining on $10 monthly subscriptions. It works by only indexing high-quality resources that are relevant to developers. You won't get useless listicles because we'll never crawl them. Relevant urls are harvested from HN,…

Hi HN! This started late last year as an afternoon project to play around with ElasticSearch, and then I kept thinking of new features I wanted to add. I still have a lot of things I want to build, but now seemed like a good time to put it out there: even if the results aren’t nearly the quality I’d like, I’ve still found it useful and I want to show it off! I’ve been working on it since September 2021, but only in fits and starts. The entire thing runs on a computer in my living room (there’s a picture on the About page); I haven’t done any load testing so we’ll see how it holds up.

ChatSEO▲56I built this after getting frustrated with digging through Google Search Console tables and exports just to decide what to work on next to do the SEO of my first project (recipe mobile app). ChatSEO connects to Google Search Console and lets you ask questions in plain language (e.g. pages close to page 1, keywords losing traction, or what actions are likely to have the biggest impact). Under the hood, it combines GSC data with external keyword and SERP data to prioritize SEO actions instead of just showing dashboards. It’s still early: onboarding is basic, recommendations can be noisy, and…

SEOZast▲62After getting frustrated with expensive and clunky SEO tools, I decided to build my own. I made SEOzast — a tool that lets you generate 1000-word AI-written SEO articles with real backlinks from your site. It’s built for indie hackers, solo founders, and people launching niche projects who want organic traffic without spending $50/month or writing a single blog post. You enter your sites, SEOzast analyzes them to generate titles, descriptions, and topics. Then it handles the rest: from H1 tags to meta descriptions, internal linking from your real articles, and deployment to GitHub in…

Hi all! A few weeks ago I was scrolling through confluence pages trying to find ssh connection details to our integration machine for 40 minutes straight, later I discovered my co-worker slack'ed me the ssh connection string two months ago. So the same weekend I started working on haystack - a search engine for workplace apps. that enables you to search slack, confluence, jira, teams, sharepoint, github, and email in one place. I wanted it to support natural language queries so a query like: "how to connect to integ2 machine?" yields: ssh -i private.pem…

My Raw Story on coming up with an idea, building and growing it. It's very detailed, with the purpose of giving another founder an insider look at one way of doing it. In January I launched an indexing tool called Index Rusher, that forces google to index your pages quicker, to get ranked for SEO faster. This whole project was something I needed myself since I got over 20 products and paying for an external one would simply cost too much. My initial idea was that I would just build an internal tool for my use, that has only 1 feature. No UI really, just 1 button. In the middle of the…

I made this site for myself, SimpleSearch.info, as new default browser page. I’m not sure if it actually _saves_ time or clicks (though, for me, it saves at least one click per search), but I find the search experience more pleasant. On desktop, it’s nice to just have these search bars as the first thing that pops up in a new window or tab vs clicking bookmarks in the toolbar or elsewhere then searching. Similarly, on mobile, I like just clicking on one icon for all my searches. The vast majority of my web browsing begins with a search or LLM query. I’m curious if this is helpful to anyone…

Allsearch is a tool I made after getting fed up with Google's search results and reading up on conversations on HN about the state of search on the internet. This is a tool I made as a spiritual successor to GnodSearch (https://www.gnod.com/search/), which I've seen in a couple conversations about search on HN. GnodSearch is great, but a bit barebones in terms of looks and functionality; Allsearch is my attempt to build off of it. Similar to Gnod, Allsearch allows you to apply any given search query to a search engine of your choice (either through only keystrokes, or via…

I wanted to start working on the SEO of my app. The other tools on the market were very expensive. As a hacker I had an itch to make my own lightweight tool that can integrate Google Search Console data or get website data from crawling a url using Google's Gemini. After the report is made the user can chat with a chatbot that is contextually grounded with the report. I found the answers given from the chatbot more helpful from the answers from a general purpose LLM. Context makes a big difference.
