Products that do what Reasonote, Open-Source AI-Generated Courses, Lessons, and Podcasts does

Hi HN! Luke, founder of Reasonote, an Education Tool that makes personalized AI-Generated Courses, Lessons, and Podcasts. Today we’re making it Open Source :) Try it now: https://reasonote.com/app Github: https://github.com/Reasonote/reasonote ------ The Problem We're Solving Education today suffers from two issues: 1. Traditional education uses a "one-size-fits-none" approach that ignores individual learning needs 2. Most edtech is still linear, impersonal, and doesn't adapt to student goals or interests ------ How Reasonote Works Reasonote solves these…

Hello HN, Over the last 12 months, I have been building https://learnawesome.org This idea came from Danny Hillis' 2012 talk at OSCON, which itself was inspired from Neal Stepehenson's _The Diamond Age : A Young Lady's Illustrated Primer_ The dream is to build a tool that matches the right learning material to the right student at the right time. Wikipedia is great, but it doesn't do a good job of leveraging the rich variety of learning resources that exist on the Web. Same applies to GoodReads - which is focused only on books, whereas these days we actually learn from videos,…

I've been working on Lurnby for 2 years. It's kind of like a mix of pocket + kindle + anki. It lets you => add add epubs, pdfs, and web articles to the app => highlight and add comments => tag and organize highlights => review them with a spaced repetition system Today I made the decision to open source the project. I'm passionate about helping other people learn to learn better and hope that this will allow a lot more innovation in the tool and the space. I'm very new to open source and development in general really, but looking forward to receiving the guidance of the community.

Hi HN, I'm a solo developer learning to code, and I'd love to share my second real project: MapMyLearn, an AI-powered app that automatically generates personalized learning paths based on any topic you input. What it does: Takes a topic (e.g. "history of capitalism", "learn Rust", or "data storytelling") Uses AI to break it down into a structured course with modules and submodules Each submodule includes: - Detailed, pedagogical content (developed based on online sources to mitigate hallucinations) - A quiz of 10 questions - Recommended resources - An AI chatbot for Q&A - Optional audio…

Dear HN, Today we're launching a massive update(0.3.0) to our AI facilitated inquiry based learning app, SocratiQ. Our first users are learning everything from Electrodynamics to Single-cell evolution to World History. We are now making it easier for them to understand where they stand and share their learning with others. 1. Insights: SocratiQ now shows your learning insights with a learning map (Like GitHub's Contribution Chart) and Topic Mastery across your explorations. 2. Teach the World Project: You can now publish your workspace for others to "fork" and continue their exploration. We…

Hi HN, Over past few months, some of us had been collecting links to learning resources (courses, interactive explorables, books, podcasts, apps, forums, livestreams etc) in a GitHub repository of markdown files. Since we also wanted to have features like advanced search ("Show me podcasts on machine learning which are entertaining and less than 40 minutes long"), we felt the need for an app. Give it a try: https://learnawesome.org You can think of LearnAwesome.org as a GoodReads-equivalent tool generalized to links to ALL media (not just books). Some features you might like: -…
