Hi HN! Matrix-CRDT connects the worlds of Yjs [1] (a proven, high performance CRDT) with that of Matrix.org [2]. It started as an experiment, asking myself; can we store "state updates of a datastore" in Matrix instead of chat messages? Now, I'm convinced it's actually a really powerful combination to develop real-time, collaborative software. I'm using it for a new project and so far didn't have to write a backend yet. Matrix takes care of a lot of stuff: Authentication, E2EE, federation, hosting, etc. - so I can focus on the client. I love the ideas of Local First [3] software. Personally,…

This is an experimental extension for CRDTs, pg_crdt: GitHub repo[0]. It supports Yjs/Yrs and Automerge. The linked blog post [1] describes how we're thinking about this extension in a Supabase context. I want to emphasise this part: "pg_crdt has not been released onto the Supabase platform (and it may never be). We’re considering many options for offline-sync/support and, while CRDTs will undoubtedly factor in, we’re not sure if this is the right approach." I started building this 10 months ago, largely using agentic coding tools. I've stayed very involved in the code base and architecture, and have never moved faster in my life as a dev. The word processor engine and rendering layer are all built from scratch - the only 3rd party library I used was the excellent Y.js for the CRDT stack. Would love some feedback!

Hey everyone! Over the past two years I threw myself back into full-time engineering with a simple goal: write code that gives back to the community. After a lot of late-night FOMO (“AI will do it all for us, right?”) and some painful production incidents, I finally turned my weekend project into an open-source library. [ What is Solidis? ] - Super-light (< 30 KB) RESP2/RESP3 client with zero runtime deps and first-class ESM/CJS support. - Fully tree-shakable – import only the commands you need. - Written with SOLID principles & full TypeScript typings for every command. - Designed…

AutoForm▲75Hi HN, I’ve built and sold startups in healthcare, edtech, and supply chain — and across all of them, the same problem kept coming up: People wasting hours pulling messy data out of PDFs, spreadsheets, websites, emails, and even videos… just to clean it up and re-enter it into CRMs, ERPs, or web forms. Most tools in this space are built for enterprise teams or a specific vertical — they assume fixed formats, API integrations, and engineering support. AutoForm isn’t that. It’s an AI data entry agent built for real-world chaos and individual users: Extracts from unstructured sources (PDFs,…
