We have been polishing ZenStack for the past few months with the community. As it has been successfully used in production by some of our users, we think it’s time to share our beta with you. ZenStack is built on top of Primsa ORM, extending it with a powerful access control layer that simplifies the development of a web app's backend. By defining authorization policies and validation rules right inside the data schema, your database client can automatically enforce these constraints at runtime. Why we built this: Based on our experience developing several commercial SaaS products, we have…

This is a two man team and we're in full-on development of a new platform to assist in multiplayer games. We're looking to launch in about a month or two with an OpenID server accessible to customers (or they can use provider like Facebook/Twitter) and a couple cool multiplayer features. After we launch development will continue until we have a well-rounded API. We're primarily targeting HTML5+JS developers but the system will work with any language that can make RESTful API calls. We know there's some stiff competition out there but we're looking for feedback and what features may make…

We built a "people management platform". I think this falls into the "unsexy" category. Users can build custom forms to track any type of data for people. While the application is applicable in many different markets, our initial target is social-service agencies, non-profits, and case-managers (it’s where we think we can make the biggest positive impact). Technology wise, our upcoming blog posts might be something like “2 years with AngularJS” and “HIPAA Compliance on AWS”. We’ve had a great time developing with tools and platforms like AngularJS, Postgres (w/ hstore), Rails, Golang,…

I've been exploring clean architecture and fullstack development in Go. This is a demo application with: - SSR frontend (pure Go templates) - REST API backend (modular design with internal packages) - Dockerized setup (frontend + backend + compose) - Taskfile for automation Inspired by common SaaS platform patterns. Code structure is intentionally clear, with backend and frontend separated, and all dependencies kept minimal. Hey HN I’m Daniel, a fullstack developer from Sydney Australia and founder at Saas Ninja (https://saasninja.io/). Saas Ninja provides a suite of simple tools/APIs on a monthly subscription basis that help Product Teams sell, monitor and develop their Saas Products. The idea for Saas Ninja came during my last employment contract working for a startup. We needed a number of monitoring tools for our product and each provider I researched was often over-complicated for what we wanted and was priced more towards a monitoring connoisseur than a startup developer. With looming…
