    Sylvain at Algolia was kind enough to accept a small pull request for HN search, which means you can now add things like http://hn.algolia.com/userfeed/pg to your RSS reader, to get the most recent comments from that user. Each feed item currently includes just the text of the comment, but it should be easy to add some extra info, like the article title and parent URL. I'll take a look at the weekend unless someone beats me to it :)

    Hello community. Some time ago I was trying to create a project for my students using Hacker News data. As you might know, HN offers an official API [0], but it's based on Firebase and I felt it's main usage is to build clients, rather than consult data. I found out that Algolia also provides an official REST API [1]. It's exactly what I needed: the ability to "search" HN. Either by keywords, type of stories (Show HN, Ask HN, etc) and/or date.     I’m proposing AICF (AI Changefeed) — a minimal, web-native way for sites to expose append-only change events. Instead of crawlers or RAG systems re-embedding everything, they can refresh only the sections that changed. Discovery: a /.well-known/ai-changefeed JSON points to a feed. Feed: an append-only NDJSON file with just 4 required fields (id, action, url, time) plus optional hints (anchor, checksum, note).
