Start a tweet with @letpgfinish, and it will be finished as if by Paul Graham himself. This was a weekend project I undertook with a couple of friends just for fun. The original one was @letkanyefinish, so you might like to try that out too... in fact, it seems to work much better (funnily enough, there's a definite inverse relationship between literacy of bot and literacy of its human counterpart). Anyway, the output is based on pg's essays and various tweets/quotes. Having used HN silently for a while, we thought we'd share this - so hope you enjoy :)

I've been getting very concerned by the "Filter Bubble" effect in the recent past, so I created a quick tool to fight it - for Twitter users, at least. "Rando Cardrissian" is a Twitter bot which selects headlines from a range of sources across the political spectrum, from Tea Party to Green. I'm intending to extend him to sample other controversial topics in the future too. Then, every 15 minutes he Tweets one of those headlines without attributing its source. A URL is included, but it's obfuscated. The intention is to create a "white noise" on your Twitter feed that is more representative…

We’ve just released SemHash v0.3.0, a major rework of our open-source text pre-processing library. We’ve added two new functionalities: outlier filtering & representative sampling. The core API has been reworked to make sure all of these features can be used together in an intuitive way. Our new features use the existing approximate nearest neighbors index that we already used for semantic deduplication, so they can be ran very quickly after building the index on your dataset. The core package can now be used for: - Semantic Deduplication: Remove semantic duplicates from your dataset. This…

Hello Hacker News, I’m releasing TXT Blah Blah Blah Lite, an open-source plain-text AI reasoning engine powered by semantic embedding rotation. It generates 50 coherent, self-consistent answers within 60 seconds — no training, no external APIs, and zero network calls. Why this matters Six top AI models (ChatGPT, Grok, DeepSeek, Gemini, Perplexity, Kimi) independently gave it perfect 100/100 ratings. For context: Grok scores LangChain around 90 MemoryGPT scores about 92 Typical open-source LLM frameworks score 80-90 Key features Lightweight and portable: runs fully offline as a single…
