24 alternatives to Riftur
Hi HN, we built Riftur to automate the repetitive work involved in document gap analysis. In many roles and industries, people still compare requirements to drafts manually—switching between two documents, marking gaps, and tracking mismatches in spreadsheets. We wanted to see whether we could handle that comparison step with AI in a way that’s transparent and useful. Riftur takes a requirement set (proposal instructions, audit criteria, evaluation rubrics, regulatory checklists, internal standards, etc.), interprets each item, and compares it to a document you upload. It highlights what’s…

Parsewise▲169Hi HN! We're X25 alumni and built Parsewise to analyze large document sets with AI agents. Instead of prompting a single PDF, our agents extract, cross-reference, and reason across thousands of documents in one run. We originally built this for insurance and financial diligence workflows where teams review huge document packs. Curious what the HN community thinks! ChunkHound’s goal is simple: local-first codebase intelligence that helps you pull deep, core-dev-level insights on demand, generate always-up-to-date docs, and scale from small repos to enterprise monorepos — while staying free + open source and provider-agnostic (VoyageAI / OpenAI / Qwen3, Anthropic / OpenAI / Gemini / Grok, and more). I’d love your feedback — and if you have, thank you for being part of the journey!

Howdy y'all, I'm Jesse and I'm pleased to share Rift (https://www.github.com/morph-labs/rift), an open-source AI-native language server for the IDEs of the future. Software will soon be written mostly by AI SWEs working alongside humans. Codebases and the development environments around them will soon become living artifacts that can anticipate, maintain context on, and execute your every intention. Software development is rapidly evolving and key infrastructure like language servers must evolve with it to support a new generation of developer tools. As part of Rift,…

Hey HN, solo dev here. After years of frustration with how LLMs handle complex documents, especially PDFs with tables, I decided to build a solution myself. My approach uses a Markdown conversion step to preserve the table structure, which seems to work surprisingly well for chunking. This little parser is the first public piece of a much larger, privacy-focused AI platform I'm building. I'm pretty much running on fumes financially, so any feedback, critique, or support is massively appreciated. Happy to answer any questions about the approach!

Hey HN,After applying to 300+ jobs over the last year and getting ghosted by ATS bots despite having solid experience (and seeing friends waste hours keyword-stuffing or using shady white-text prompts that recruiters now auto-reject), I got fed up. So I built Cvora (https://www.cvora.net): an AI that takes your existing CV + a job description and: -Extracts only real keywords from the posting (zero hallucinations or invented skills) -Rewrites your bullets naturally and professionally to highlight what you've actually done -Generates a clean, ATS-proof PDF in seconds (tested against…

It’s well known at this point that documentation needs to be optimized for AI agents - we’re all pointing our Claude Code / Codex / Pi agents at documentation, and expecting the models to figure out how to implement a product. This, however, changes the entire optimization problem when writing documentation. Good documentation now becomes more objective - you are solving the very concrete problem: can a dumb harness running the dumbest model implement this reliably? Humans can typically compensate for inconsistent terminology or scattered context across pages, but for agents, this…

Hi HN, We built an AI agent for data analysts that turns the soul crushing spreadsheet & BI tool grind into a fast, verifiable and joyful experience. Early users reported going from hours to minutes on common real-world data wrangling tasks. It's much smarter than an Excel copilot: immutable data steps, a DAG of SQL views, and DuckDB for instant crunching over millions of rows. Our early agent prototype ranked #1 on the Spider2-DBT bench. https://spider2-sql.github.io Try it out and we'd love your feedback! Thanks, Di Wu & the Shadowfax team P.S. Hi hackers! My partner and I got tired of nontransparent hiring processes and "AI-native" HR software that just wrap an LLM around CVs (or even simply claims doing so) so we built Hiring Method to do the opposite. It converts CVs and job requirements into structured data, then uses a transparent math engine to score the match. Instead of trusting a black box you get a clear, audit-ready scorecard that shows exactly why a candidate is a good fit. We are currently building a sourcing feature to help find those candidates in the first place. We have been working on this for 1.5 years, and after…
