Hi Everyone, I've been working on FastMonitor.io solo for about a year now. FastMonitor monitors how fast your site is, and alerts you if it gets slower. Wanted to show it to you guys and get some feedback. Back Story: I built the basic tool kit for my previous startup - we were doing SEO and had very slow page speed across a wide variety of pages, so I ran lighthouse on an instance every day and put the results in the database and on a chart. This allowed us to chart our progress and celebrate when our pages got faster, or roll back / find the problem when things got slower. Feedback:…

Whenever I get abnormally slow results or high rates of errors from GPT-4, I used to go and check the official OpenAI status site. But mostly it would always show green when I was experiencing issues. So Eliot who I work with built this little utility - an unofficial OpenAI status dashboard. It's designed to answer the question of "is GPT slow for everyone right now or just for me" and "is GPT having elevated rates of errors for everyone right now or just for me" It's aimed at API users but may also be useful for ChatGPT errors/slowness, I'm not sure. Possible features we're thinking…

I recently got tired of subscribing to dozens of status pages (Cloudflare, Vercel, Twilio, GitHub, OpenAI) just to stay ahead of the outages that seem to happen almost every week. So I decided to build https://statussight.com/ - essentially it's an aggregator that crawls 3,000 status pages every minute, so I can see the status of all services and infrastructure in one central place. I also added the capability to create a custom dashboard so that you can monitor specifically the services that you use. I built StatusSight using Next.js, with the frontend being deployed to…

I recently built IsMyAIDown.com to challenge some assumptions about modern web development. Instead of reaching for React like everyone else seems to be doing these days, I wanted to see if I could build a distributed, scalable, real-time, single-page app using server-side tech with Phoenix and LiveView. The core idea was simple enough - monitor major AI providers and show their status across different geographic regions. But the primary goal was to better understand what was possible without the complexity of modern frontend frameworks. I ended up deploying across three Fly.io regions and…

A small CLI that runs the checks you'd normally do manually: DNS, HTTPS, SSL expiry, redirects, response time, email records, domain expiry, and more. Zero dependencies, JSON output, install via Homebrew.
