My story: I founded this a couple of years ago because my school (I was 11/12 at the time) had recently purchased a library system which was horrible and ugly. I thought it could be made much better, so I coded for months on end to get this product working. I submitted this to a TV competition on national TV and got the opportunity to pitch this product in front of 500,000 viewers. I received a bursary of €2,000 from the show and used that money to grow the business. Currently the business is thriving and is growing rapidly. I'd really appreciate any feedback you might have. Thanks, Shane

Disclaimer it is a heavily AI assisted project. The goal was not to be the most performative but the kind that's easier to learn from. I wanted to share this in case there are people who had the same idea or wanted to see something like this.

I've been working on a platform that uses LLMs to turn any random idea into 2-3 minute episodes - one of the newer ones is JARS Tank, where you can pitch inventions to a panel of AI investors. Would love to hear your thoughts!

Hi HN, Annoucing the release of Magpie, a CLI tool which turns your AI agent into an expert bookkeeper, based on Jaybase. (https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=48999936) As someone who owns a small, tech business, I have very simple books. somewhere between 10-30 transactions a month, a few depreciation line items, and a couple budgets to monitor. So it always bothered be that I was paying hundreds of dollars per year for software, and maybe a live bookeeper on top of that, just to keep these simple things in order, because I didn't have the mental bandwidth to do it myself.…

To keep busy over the weekend, I decided to build a small AI Art collection site .... and ended up building an amusingly enjoyable AI art buying web-game where you basically collect beautiful AI art using virtual (not real) dollars. Enjoy => https://yoomter.com

hey hn – mint is gone, the clones feel like bloatware, and afaict every “personal finance” app still assumes you love staring at pie charts for fun. i don’t. so i built peek. - ai-first: an ai agent does the number-crunching and pings you with bite-sized nudges instead of guilt-trips - habit loop > dashboard: get weekly “wrapped”-style digests that actually push you towards forming new positive habits, not just remind you you spent too much on coffee - mobile-only rn (ios) bc that’s where gen z actually lives link:…
