Hi HN, I watch A LOT of educational YouTube videos but wasn't forgetting a good chunk of the details because I was only really passively watching. So I made a tool that generates quiz questions/flashcards from YouTube videos, and uses spaced repetition like Anki or Duolingo to keep it in memory. Let me know if you find it cool/useful (or terrible ) or if you want to know a bit about the details!

Hi HN, I built https://rebrain.gg. It's a website which is intended to help you learn new things. I built it for two reasons: 1. To play around with different ways of interacting with a LLM. Instead of a standard chat conversation, the LLM returns question forms the user can directly interact with (and use to continue the conversation with the LLM). 2. Because I thought it would be cool to have a site dedicated to interactive educational content instead of purely consuming content (which I do too much). An example of a (useful-for-me) interactive conversation is:…

Hi HN, My friend and I just launched a vocabulary quiz game. It's a two Player Game where you challenge your opponent with a word and answer their challenge question. Whoever gets the highest score in a round of 5, wins. Currently, words are from Barron's 333 most essential GRE wordlist to help students preparing for the standardized test. You can check out the game at: [Play Store] https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.buildmyvoc... or [Hybrid web app in Ionic - Please allow some time to load] https://buildmyvocab.in/wordsgame We would…

Hey everyone! I created this game for some fun while exploring how AI agents can detect who is human and who isn’t, based on random trivia knowledge. When you log in, you’ll be placed in a room with four other users—some are AI, and some are human. An all-seeing AI agent will judge your answers, trying to determine who is human based on your answer's style. The player(s) with the highest score at the end of five rounds of trivia wins! It’s free to play. Just type in a username and get started. Have fun!

Hey HN! I've built Curiosity of the Day to help people increase their knowledge of the world, one day at a time. Each day, it presents the user with a new fact or piece of knowledge about anything from history and science to art and culture. I’d love to get some feedback on ways to make the app better, and any other ideas on how to make learning more fun and engaging.

Right now it's a Nicotine patch for brain rot/doom scrolling. You still get the scroll, but with more meaningful content. WHERE I WANT IT TO GO: Users mark what they are interested in (e.g. AI, or Space or Whatever), and it should crawl the latest scientific articles, high quality YouTube videos, pods, present it in a format that fits you, in a nice feed. NOW: You can search for anything (e.g. "Sea Explorers" --> The app crawls Wikipedia or YouTube and pulls together a short feed (e.g. Columbus, Vasco da Gama etc.,). I'm using RAG so that I always can reference the original data source…

I wanted to kick my doomscrolling habit, so I built a microlearning app that uses a TikTok-style algorithm, same addictive feed mechanics, but you actually learn something. I started with a general version, Scroll: Daily Microlearning (microlearning.usescroll.app), but quickly realised it works better when focused on a single topic. So I split it into: Scroll: Personal Finance (https://finance.usescroll.app) Scroll: Learn AI (https://ai.usescroll.app) Scroll: Daily Microlearning (https://microlearning.usescroll.app)
