pg_jsonschema is a solution we're exploring to allow enforcing more structure on json and jsonb typed postgres columns. We initially wrote the extension as an excuse to play with pgx, the rust framework for writing postgres extensions. That let us lean on existing rust libs for validation (jsonschema), so the extension's implementation is only 10 lines of code :) https://github.com/supabase/pg_jsonschema/blob/fb7ab09bf6050... happy to answer any questions!

Hey HN! We are Jonathan & Guy, and we are happy to share a project we’ve been working on. ChartDB is a tool to help developers and data analysts quickly visualize database schemas by generating ER diagrams with just one query. A unique feature of our product is AI-Powered export for easy migration. You can give it a try at https://chartdb.io and find the source code on GitHub. Next steps ---> More AI. We’d love feedback :)

While doing research for an architectural change at work, I couldn’t find a nice npm library that let’s you create SQL tables from a JSON Schema. That’s how I decided to create one myself.

Hello all To preface this is just something I've been making as a learning exercise, so all feedback is appreciated. This is a tool that converts JSON schemas into TypeScript utility classes for use in Deno. Automatic Type Generation: Typescript interfaces for the compressed and uncompressed versions of your data. Compression & Decompression: Compress and decompress your data. Validation: Built-in data validation using Ajv ensures your data adheres to the schema. Reusability: Once generated, the utility classes can be used in other Deno projects. It currently only supports a subset of JSON…

We built this in a day to help save some time internally and wanted to share as others might find it useful for managing structured output schemas. There’s a few other tools out there - but none had exactly what we needed! Key Features: 1. Two-Way Editing: Paste in an existing JSON schema and edit it within the UI 2. Data-Type Validations: add validations to fields 3. Local Storage & Version History: track your edits, don’t lose changes Link: https://schematools.herondata.io Source Code: https://github.com/heron-data/schema-tools

Hi HN, we're Eric and Dean, creators of SchemafreeSQL. Its roots go back to an on-line Web App Development Environment we developed back in 1999. It was comprised of an IDE, Web Server, Object Store, Virtual File System, Template System, and polyglot (Java, JavaScript, and Python). Of course, we named it “.OS”. Then we ended up dropping it. But that's a story for another time. It was the ease of use of the Object Store from .OS that we really missed, which brings us back to SchemafreeSQL. It provides an enhanced API to your SQL Database which allows it to function as a Schemaless…
