There is too much of everything in cybersecurity. Noise, FUD, unfulfilled sales promises, incidents, things to address, information to process, technologies to look at, people to educate. I am working as a CISO and it's mostly my job to raise awareness, understand all the risks, track all current issues and prioritize them, and be able to communicate all that with proper references and examples to our management team.
