Products that do what Semantic-dictionary – A Python dictionary with semantic lookup does
The idea is simple: a Python dictionary that uses semantic similarity during lookup. Say you're working on user preference extraction for an AI agent. In some cases, the model may output something like: ``` { "preference": "Database", "value": "sqlite3" } ``` but it (or a different model) may later request the user preference using a subtly different key: ``` { "action": "get_user_preference", "preference": "Database System" } ``` If we parse these responses and store them in a standard dictionary, we'll miss the similarity between the two preference keys "Database" and "Database System",…

Hi HN! I am Maria, solo founder of DataQA (https://dataqa.ai/), a tool to search and label documents for various NLP tasks (e.g. entity extraction, entity linking, etc). I have worked as a data scientist and ML engineer for the better part of a decade, and over that time have specialised mainly in applications involving natural language processing (NLP). One of the key questions I have always had at the back of my mind is whether my time was well spent. Whenever I spent more time on feature engineering or trying different models, I always wondered whether I would get better…

Small experiment of visualization of wikipedia articles as a graph using d3.js.<p>Articles with more traffic are bigger. I computed the semantic similarity using LSI with python (gensim) You have to scroll down/right a bit!<p>http://similarityapi.appspot.com/graph/?title=blade%20runner<p>There is also a JSON api: http://similarityapi.appspot.com/api/v1/?limit=100&title=blade%20runner<p>All feedback is appreciated:<p>@lucamartinetti [email protected]

Visions is a python library for working with user defined data type systems. Out of the box, it provides type inference and automated data cleaning of sequence data with backend specific implementations for pandas, spark, python, and numpy. We often use it as a first pass cleaning step when working with tabular data and to simplify the backend logic of both pandas-profiling[1] and our tabular data compression library compressio[2]. Because data types are user defined, we can build user customizable libraries based around types without adding code complexity. In the case of compressio that…

We're working on this side project which allows users to create & edit their academic genealogy. Essentially it is a semantic wiki powered by Django/Python. So far all the basic wiki functions like CRUD, tracking edit history, diff different versions, reverting back to previous version, etc are completed. Here is a demo: http://phdtree.org/ Would appreciate it if anyone can provide feedback/comments/suggestions. Many thanks!!
