Products that do what ServerKit – A mobile UI for server management does

Problem Statement: A few months ago, I was outside of my city. I was on a bus when one of my team members messaged me saying users were unable to read the product description PDF. I had to wait 3 more hours until I got back home, opened the laptop, and SSH'd into the server to find out what was wrong. In that moment I realized that being able to manage a server from a phone is very important when a laptop is not nearby. What it does: It is a UI wrapper over standard SSH command outputs. It parses the SSH output and shows the results in UI elements, and also translates your actions to…

This tray-based program can be used to manage SSHFS mounts for remote servers. It was built out of a need to browse my self-hosted servers (and connected HDDs); managing the state for multiple SSHFS connections as well as avoiding system-hanging bugs on MacOS was becoming tedious. This is early software still, please use at your own risk and share any feedback. Github: https://github.com/thekashifmalik/sshfsui

Hey all. I built ShellDash, an interactive server admin dashboard with shell scripting and an appealing globe UI. https://shelldash.com The goal is to provide a global monitoring view of your servers, with shell script access, in a way that feels natural and productive, plus a minimal and appealing UI/UX. The technology is fairly interesting. This being a browser app, I built a Go WASM SSH client running in the browser, proxied through my server WebSocket endpoints. This means I can provide you a Web UI to access your servers via SSH, without ever needing to see your…

RunKit is a browser based tmux manager that works great on a phone over Tailscale. I created it to be able to run several AI agents in parallel, after trying out several existing tools. There's no database (state is read live from tmux). Right now, its the first thing I install on any server, and from there on RunKit becomes the management cock-pit for that server. Also, for running several agents in parallel, RunKit has been a lifesaver. It shows the status of all running agent on the left panel, and sends you a notification anytime an agent is stuck. Please try it out, and let me know if…

Recently I've been playing with an idea of a file server on my Android phone, with a web browser access. I wanted to replace: - AirDroid - sending files to my own PC or laptop. - ShareIt - sending big files over the local network to my family devices. - Dropbox - sharing select files with other people over the Internet. Requirements I had in mind: - end-to-end encryption, no sign ups, no accounts, no passwords - local connection if devices are on the same network - asynchronous access, server should work seamlessly in the background This week I finally managed to stitch the pieces together…
