I have decided to open source this project to increase trust even further. In case you have seen my previous posts, this is an update for berb.app, a WebRTC file sharing app. My goal is simple: send files between devices in real-time without installing crap or uploading to any servers.

Hey everyone, just wanted to share a quick project I built a bit ago and finally cleaned up enough to post. The premise is simple, you have a file on one computer that you want on a different computer on the same network and don't want a lot of fuss. For the file you want to copy, on the machine where the file is located, run: ./bcp filename Now go to the computer (on the same network) where you want the file to be at, and run: ./bcp The file will be copied over the network and you're done. So, I built a tool in Go that lets you pipe contents into an SSH server for sending and reading them out on another connection. You can also use this tool to transfer files. Just cat the file on the sender end and redirect the output of the receiver end to a file. Please note that the transfer rate is heavily dependent on your connection and proximity to the public ssh.beam.camp…

Hi veterans of HN. Felt the need to paste and save important texts and api keys without creating a file and uploading to drive. thats where the idea kicked in. So I just go there, paste my things and make workspaces (like servers in discord) to keep them tidy. You can also share them workspaces with friends and colleagues after you sign in. Give it a go, HN.
