This started out as a fork of pydoro and turned into a playground for dataclasses and strict mypy type checking. Some of the advanced features are - it writes the current status into .local/state/pomoglorbo for i3status/xbar - it is very configurable, including cmd hooks to run after a Pomodoro/break finishes or starts The layout is compact, and it runs well over SSH/Mosh/Tmux.

Hey HN, Small OSS project that i created for myself and want to share with the community. It's a declarative, scriptable, terminal-based IDE focussed on agentic engineering. That's a lot of jargon, but essentially its a multi-agent IDE that you start in your terminal. Why is that relevant? Thanks to tmux and SSH, it means that you have a really simple and efficient way to create your own always-on coding setup. Boot into your IDE through ssh, give a prompt to claude and close off your machine. In tmux-ide claude will keep working. The tool is intentionally really lightweight, because I think…

Last month, I started learning a Python TUI framework called Textual. After working on a 4x4 board game, I made an interactive app to test your CLI text processing skills with 40 beginner to intermediate level exercises. The app is fairly basic in terms of features — only single input file, so no stdin data, multiple files, etc. Most of the exercises in this app is based on my Computing from the Command Line ebook (https://learnbyexample.github.io/cli-computing/preface.html). I hope to improve the TUI app to support all the 200+ exercises sometime next year.

Write a task in plain English. An AI agent runs it on a simulator on your Mac and tells you if a real user could complete it. Save the successful run as a regression check you can replay later.

Hi HN! Daniel from YC S21 here, launching a project called aSim (https://asim.sh/), which lets people generate/simulate usable native apps (called Sims). Describe an app you want and aSim will generate it. Then, edit and refine it to better suit your needs. Sims are also shareable via links, and basic app functionality is also available through web (though mobile is much more feature complete). A couple of my favorite Sims so far: - Doom demo: https://asim.sh/@zymaric/s/18665 - Star wars idle game:…

Introducing Dashwave Public Beta! Hello, I am Supratik Das, Co-founder, and CTO at Dashwave. I am thrilled to announce the launch of Dashwave, a powerful cloud build and emulation tool for fast and collaborative Android development. It supports all major Android languages/frameworks: Java, Kotlin, React Native and Flutter. Why Dashwave? - The Problem Android developers often struggle with insanely long build times and resource-intensive emulation sessions. They work in close collaboration with product stakeholders and rely on WIP feedback. Since builds, and feedback are slow, this leads…
