I've been meaning to learn the basics of Rust, build my first desktop application ever and replace with it the only 2 desktop reminder apps I've known to fulfill my requirements, as both are 15 years+ old at this point. It's still a work in progress, but after weeks of development I feel I've achieved an acceptable state for a first release.
