Hey HN! We launched sliplane.io, where deploying Docker containers is super simple and wallet-friendly. With our Pay-per-Server approach, you can host as many containers as you want on each server at a set price - no huge surprise bills, just straightforward Docker hosting. You simply connect your Github repository and we do the rest that you expect from a PaaS, SSL by default, automatic deployments, backups of your storage etc. Pricing starts at 9€/month for 2vCPU, 2GB RAM, 40 GB Disk, 2 TB Egress. Cheers, Jonas

docker-compose is great for single node docker deployments, but it doesn't have a feature that would allow zero downtime deployments. It's not possible to deploy often if your app goes down every time, and using Kubernetes/Nomad/Swarm on a single node is an overkill. I created this Docker plugin to be a drop-in replacement for the restart command in usual docker-compose deployment scripts. It performs a simple rolling deployment of a single service.

QuickDeploy▲184Hi HN, I am Max and I am building QuickDeploy! It lets you deploy web applications of all sorts to your VPS with one command! Here is a little showcase of the tool itself: https://youtu.be/Feauj4OaePg Under the hood quickdeploy detects the language and framework you use, so e.g. Next.js and then creates a Docker image. After that it starts the container and waits until it is in a healthy state before using a reverse proxy to redirect traffic to the app. Added benefit is the use of your own domain with instant https! I am super happy with the result and the ease of use. After…

Hi HackerNews, Ruslan here. I once posted here a story how I got AWS $4k surprise bill for one day (https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=31907374), which is why I built DollarDeploy. I believe 95% of apps don't need complicated AWS infrastructure and can be hosted using simple server from Hetzner, Digital Ocean, etc. Today I am launching an AI agent on DollarDeploy. The AI agent can automatically build and deploy your NextJS/React, Go, Rust, or other types of apps to your own servers, running all commands via SSH on your server. You just type your commands or paste your…

Hey folks, I'm Ben from Armory.io (YC W17). We just launched Continuous Deployment-as-a-Service (CDaaS) to make it easy for developers to deploy their apps safely to the cloud. We’d greatly appreciate (raw, candid) feedback from the HN community if this solution improves the speed at which you deploy to production. We have a free-forever tier that gives you up to 25 Application Targets[1] (our unit of scale for pricing). Try it here: https://www.armory.io/products/continuous-deployment-as-a-se... Seven years in the making (I admit that I did get a kid at some point which slowed down progress and brought it to a halt quite a few times), I decided to finaly release it, with a rather drastic change to the now (I believe) generous licensing model. Unlike current major players in this field, I decided to go with uncrippled, free version for commercial use for corps with up to 1M USD ARR. I poured my heart and soul into this, not because I was looking for financial success, but because I felt it just had to be done, given the price hikes wherever you look today. While my wife and kid were…
