I've converted the movie Sneakers to a "high def" terminal animation, complete with subtitles. The frames were rendered using the Python `tv` package, the subtitles were done with custom tools, and the ssh backend is russh. Try it! ssh ansi.rya.nc (bonus: try "rickroll" as the username)

Hi HN, Frogmouth is a TUI to display Markdown files. It does a passable job of displaying Markdown, with code blocks and tables. No image support as yet. It's very browser like, with navigation stack, history, and bookmarks. Works with both the mouse and keyboard. There are shortcuts for viewing README.md files and other Markdown on GitHub and GitLab. There are multiple programs for working with log files, both inside and outside of the terminal. These tools are feature rich and functional and offer lots of control to the user. However, a lot of the time I found myself just opening raw log files in `less`. I enjoy the simplicity of quickly skimming through the logs, but it was difficult when the wall of text was in one color. I've been working on an ANSI art editor off and on for a while. It works like a traditional ANSI text editor, except it supports 256 colors, Unicode and CP437 encoding, frame-based animation, custom UI themes, terminal mouse input, HTML and IRC color output, and runs in Utf-8 terminals. It's written in Python and curses, and is fairly portable across Unix systems. If you have ever used TheDraw or Aciddraw, the user interface is similar.
