24 alternatives to Sober Ringtones – Cringe-free ringtones for people who hate ringtones
Hey HN, fed up with cringy stock ringtones on my new phones, a few months ago I decided to "compose" my own ringtone for calls and notifications. So after some time I decided to make a few more variants and share them online for other people who hate ringtones that sound like overblown symphonies, cheap disco hits or overly catchy jingles. Would love to know if anyone is interested in this or if you're…

The ringtones feature low tones and simple compositions without elaborate orchestral… Below are 24 products that do a similar job, ranked by how close each is in meaning and then by launch-day votes.

I appeared on The Economist's The Intelligence podcast [0] this week talking about Ambiphone and another ambient music project, Ambient ScotRail Beats [1] - I'm on at about 17:30 There's a big selection of music and sounds already but I'm always adding more - if there's anything you'd like to see added, let me know! It’s something I built for myself first, but I figured others might…

Hey guys I've been playing the guitar for many years but I felt like I had hit a wall and wasnt making progress. One of the things I realized was holding me back was unfamiliarity with the fretboard. I'd often find myself in situations like “Uhh…Where’s the C# here?” “Where’s the flat-3rd of this root on the 4th string?” “Sure would be nice to know the closest min7 triad shape to play over here..” I tried memorizing the fretboard the obvious way but it extreeemly boring for me. Being a developer, I decided to turn it into a game. I'd love for you guys to try it out and let me know what you…
