Products that do what Social network where inviting someone makes you accountable for them does

Chirpper is invite-only. When you vouch someone in, they join your TrustChain. Their behavior affects your TrustRank, and that propagates up the lineage. No moderators. The accountability is architectural, not policy-based. You can be pseudonymous, but you can't be unaccountable. Happy to get into the mechanics in comments.

Hey fellow HN-ers, I'd like to ask HN about my latest startup: SocialFolders. We take a Dropbox-like approach to managing your content on your social networks by mirroring all the content you have on these networks in folders on your computer. Moving this content around, between folders or between services, is mirrored in the all-mighty "cloud" (ugh, I hate this word). We'd love to know what you think. We think our approach solves the problem of managing content at scale. We put together a quick 2'30 screencast to show HN how it works: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4s2TFsVezZQ If you want…

Hey HN! I'm trying to create a community of people that are willing to contribute to the OpenDolphin project. The goal of the project is to build an Open Source _centralized_ social network that would ideally compete with Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. The main difference between the well established social and this one would be that it is going to be built and managed in the public, in the most transparent way possible. Features will be implemented and requested by the community - and generally speaking everything would be community-centric. If the project takes off, this might become one…

Link: www.rise.ly Hey guys, We just finished building our site, and would be very grateful if some of you guys could test it out. Basically, Risely is curation platform that filters the noise from your social stream and only shows you stories on topics you care about. You just need to connect your social networks and select your topics. Trending stories get bigger as they get more popular. We are in private beta right now, but I have made arrangements and you will receive an invite 5 or 10 minutes after you signup. Thanks

Hello, for some time I've been developing this project now that I am happy that it finally can see the light. I love Tor, but I believe the biggest thing with Tor is that the nodes are strangers which in itself requires some sort of level in just that, complete strangers. For this reason, I decided to build this private network inspired by the Onion router. Unlike other public networks, GiralNet is not for anonymous connections to strangers. It is built for small teams or groups who want privacy but also need a level of trust. It assumes that the people running the nodes in the network are…
