Products that do what Sounds – Infinite funk fusion rhodes licks (or any other loop you want) does
Hi HN! I could never find the right sample for my music, so we built Sounds. A collaborative catalog of free samples and loops, generated with our music model. Everything is free to browse and download, but the most fun part is to generate your own. Every generation joins the public library, so the catalog grows from what people couldn't find.

Hello all! I've been an avid fan of Pocket Operators by Teenage Engineering since I found out about them. I even own an EP-133 K.O. II today, which I love. A couple of months ago, Reddit user andiam03 shared a Google Sheet with some drum patterns [1]. I thought it was a very cool way to share and understand beats. During the weekend I coded a basic version of this app I am sharing today. I iterated over it in my free time, and yesterday I felt like I had a pretty good version to share with y'all. It's not meant to be a sequencer but rather a way to experiment with beats and basic sounds,…

This is an web audio experiment I've been wanting to do for a long time. Basically an ambient music composition, but all the sound elements are laid out in space, and that musical space can be explored freely. It's definitely inspired by in-world music that sometimes appears in games. I basically took that concept, keeping the music aspect, and dropping the entire "game" aspect. I also turned it into a more "traditional" non-interactive album, but since I started with code, why not program the whole thing? Had a blast making the entire album from code, the complete source for the album is…

If you already know what bytebeat is, you don't need an explanation. If not, check my project :) Here is how it looks: SELECT mono(output( arraySum(x -> 1 / 6 * running_envelope(30 * (1 + x / 6), time, 0.05 * x, 0.005, lfo(0, 0.25, sine_wave, time / 8), 0.1) * sine_wave(time * 80 * exp2(x / 3)), range(12)))) FROM table; To check how it sounds, find the examples in the repository https://github.com/ClickHouse/NoiSQL

Hey! I wanted to share Noise with you, a tool that allows musicians and artists to create a free website from their Spotify profile. You don’t have to be an artist to try it out! You can play with it (for free) and for fun by making a Noise for your favorite artist. Feedback is really appreciated!

Hi, I'm the author of this little Web Audio toy which does physical modeling synthesis using a simple spring-mass system. My current area of research is in sparse, event-based encodings of musical audio (https://blog.cochlea.xyz/sparse-interpretable-audio-codec-pa...). I'm very interested in decomposing audio signals into a description of the "system" (e.g., room, instrument, vocal tract, etc.) and a sparse "control signal" which describes how and when energy is injected into that system. This toy was a great way to start learning about physical modeling synthesis, which seems…
