GUI disk analyzers are great for figuring out what's filling up your laptop/desktop drive. On containers or remote servers, the options are limited to purely text based utilities (e.g. du) or list-centric TUIs (e.g. ncdu) which are usually limited to viewing one directory at a time. I created leaves to fill that gap. Inspired by classic utilities like WinDirStat and KDirStat, it uses a 2-dimensional treemap^1 visualization to show the entire directory hierarchy with proportionally sized rectangles. It's performant enough to handle millions of files, thanks to Rust and multi-threading.…

It's like space but Zpace. pip install zpace and find the big files consuming your disk space. Be it apps, virtual environments, machine learning models etc. Just run zpace Once you find one, that you can say "bye" to, just run rm -rf /i_dont_need/this/file/right_now to get rid of it. It was born out of frustration while lack of disk space prevented me to use my laptop properly. It has been very useful to me so…

I've created a powerful tool to help Go developers uncover the hidden giants in their compiled binaries. Go Size Analyzer is like an X-ray machine for your Go executables, revealing: Which dependencies are eating up your binary size Unexpected bloat from standard library or vendor packages Size changes between binary versions with a visual diff Key features that set it apart: Interactive treemap visualizations (check out the demo: https://gsa.zxilly.dev) Slick terminal UI for deep diving into package hierarchies Cross-platform support (works on Linux, macOS, and Windows binaries)…
