Hi everyone, I just launched Bank List, an online banking directory to help people find the perfect bank for their needs. It currently has 170+ banks/EMIs and it's mostly focused on individuals and businesses from Europe, but I plan on adding new regions soon. The business model is affiliate marketing, I earn commission when someone signs up on any of these banks through my link. Maybe I will also add featured listings on the site, still need to think about this though. I would love to receive feedback about the website and business idea in general. Thank you

Hi HN, I wanted to share an app I've created recently since it might be useful for you: guitos is a free open-source budgeting app that helps you figure out where your money went and plan your budget ahead of time. It was initially created to replace a spreadsheet I created based on the budgeting advice given on the r/personalfinance subreddits and as an opportunity to learn React. The app stores data in your browser's local storage (IndexedDB). Your private financial data doesn't leave your browser. (If you're wondering what the app's name means: "guitos" is portuguese slang for…

We built a local-first, private, multi-currency, double-entry based personal finance app. It will help you track, visualize, and plan your financial journey. Use the `Try demo` button, to try it without an account. Small screens (mobiles) are not supported yet. By local-first we mean, your data is on your system (we use sqlite over opfs, in browser). For synching across devices, the data is encrypted with your key before it leaves your device. You can backup the data locally (if you are using chrome) and/or to your dropbox. It's designed so that we (the people building it) can't access…

I was thinking the other days; what's the biggest and the easiest market to enter and start winning money directly and found out, It's the job market. There way too much money in this market and choosing the correct niche in it might help you start a simple business that wins ton of money. That's how I came up with my project RemoteInSpain. There are tons of people who wants to work in remote and in spain is not an exception. So I created my website after some research and I have already 100 visits per day and the website is just 2 days old. Talk about a jackpot

Hey HN! I’m excited to introduce Companero, my open-source ridesharing solution! As a traveler, I often struggled to find rides in smaller cities. So I built Companero on Telegram using pure Java 21 and MongoDB. I recently added a rating system to this app to make rides safer, but all in all, you can request a ride using your location, can see recommended trip price based on your country (it has an index for each country and a currency converter) and much more features. I’d love your feedback and any questions are welcome! Thanks!

Hi HN! In the last couple of weeks I've been working on Cranki: Cranki = Crosswords + Anki. (It's a stupid name tbh, haha) I like doing crosswords in Spanish (to learn vocab) but none of the apps out there allowed me to use my own list of words that I come across. So I built one instead. It's entirely client-side. No server, no database, no accounts, etc. Your words and stats are stored in local storage. I built this for myself but let me know if you like it!

Many years ago (2007?) I put together this site: http://www.tripzard.com . I never launched it, because it was basically a MVP/POC so it's not very refined, but I just found it again today and was surprised it still kind of works decent. The idea was kind of like "Find Your Spot" where you answer a bunch of questions about what you like to do when you travel, and it calculates where the best places for your to travel would be. Most people I found don't realize there are some interesting options out there instead of just going to Cancun. What does the HN community think, is this a project…
