Made this using Power BI and the Crypto Watch API. Started making this in November 2021, but never got around to publishing it, so that is the reason for the 'FOMO' in the title - probably a good thing if you 'missed out' on the crypto hype late last year. Now it serves as a way to see how much you 'saved' by not putting in money. Hope someone finds it fun!

Hey HN - there are lots of tools to understand how many tokens you use and how much it costs, but we haven't found any that tell you where those tokens are going! Decant helps you understand what you are spending tokens on (context gathering, planning, code, chat, etc), so you can optimize it.

Hello HN Viewers, So this all started when we got super frustrated trying to figure out payment fees. You know how it goes – you have got a bunch of payment providers, each with their own fee reports, and trying to make sense of all that mess is quite challenging and complex. We thought, why not just build something that pulls all those fee reports together, cleans them up, and makes them actually understandable? So we built a tool that pulls in fee reports from multiple providers, standardizes fee names, and makes it easier to understand all fee types. You can drill down to see the exact…

Two years ago, I started this side project https://bitcoinvsalts.com as an open forward testing platform for crypto. Today this platform tracks more than 1400 crypto trading strategies. As a result, we rank their performance in real time and now we start selling monthly subscriptions to automatically trade some of those algorithms. Please let me know what do you think of this project and contact me at [email protected] if you think you could help me in creating a business for it.

I use Claude Code, Codex and Cursor (and sometimes Antigravity) basically every day, and could never tell how much I was actually consuming across all of them. So I built TokenMaxxer. A small CLI reads the files these tools already write locally and puts it all in one dashboard, broken out by tool, model, provider and day. It covers 18 tools now, and you get a profile page with your daily activity, cost estimates, and your top models and tools. There's also a global leaderboard if you want to compete against other TokenMaxxers! I'd love to see if anyone can beat the first place (currently…

Hey HN, I'm Steve, co-founder of Factor.fyi, a new data platform for querying and visualizing financial datasets using SQL. During the pandemic, I took much more of an active role in managing my portfolio. I wanted to be able to make informed decisions about the investments I was making, and explore financial data in new ways. Market and Econ data are some of the most talked-about and widely-available datasets out there, but I was frustrated by the lack of options to answer questions I had, like, "What would have happened if I had started dollar-cost averaging VTI back in 2013?"[1] Or, "How…
