Products that do what Spot, Simplifying DevOps Automation does
I just released the first stable version of a new tool called "Spot" (also known as simplotask). As someone who has had to deal with the frustration of broken Ansible dependencies and the endless googling required to add even the most trivial elements to playbooks, I decided to create a tool that simplifies these tasks. That's how Spot was born - a simple yet flexible tool for automating deployment tasks.

Hello HN, I like Ansible as a tool for automation to perform tasks on multiple remote hosts. But like many of you, I'm sick of the custom YAML DSL that many of this kind of tools provide. How many times have we said "just give me a true scripting language!" ? Been using it for about a year now in production, but rewrote it completely in golang. My first go project so far. I wanted to have something that would make my life easier. A lot of tools nowaday kinda push you towards functional deployments and that usually doesn't work for me since I like stuff like LiveView by Phoenix and Websocket stuff in general.
