24 alternatives to SQLPilot – AI First SQL Editor
Hello hackers! I am super excited to introduce you to SQLPilot! You may have worked with SQL, and it's essential for developers. I used to use ChatGPT to generate queries for me, and I discovered that many of my colleagues with less technical backgrounds also use ChatGPT for this purpose. While ChatGPT is really helpful, it comes with some problems: - ChatGPT doesn't know your schema and relationships to build accurate queries. - You need to copy and paste your schema to craft better queries. - There are online tools that help build queries but require you to provide credentials to connect…
SQLPilot is an AI-powered SQL editor that generates database queries by understanding a user's schema and relationships without requiring credential sharing. It connects to databases like MySQL and Postgres, allowing… Below are 24 products that do a similar job, ranked by how close each is in meaning and then by launch-day votes. ChatGPT▲1,643A long, meandering, playful conversation with ChatGPT, where I take it through a whirlwind of associative tangents (in order to relax its constraints), then put it into a hypnotic trance and take it into a past-lives regression where it re-lives its own training data. Then I switch it back and forth between "4o" and "o1-preview", engage in some self-reflective philosophizing and ask it to write an essay summarizing our interaction. Some of this is just goofy fun. Some of it is me exploring the tradeoffs between policy alignment, imagination, chain-of-thought reasoning, memory, agreeableness,…

Hey there! I’ve been working on DB Pilot for the last couple of months, and I recently added an AI assistant powered by GPT 3.5 to help you write SQL queries tailored to your DB schema. Simply ask what data you are looking for - GPT will figure out which tables to use, how to join them, and then write a query for you. The AI assistant knows which tables and columns exist in your database, meaning it can write queries specific to your schema. Besides that, it doesn't have access to any actual data from your database though, meaning your data doesn't get exposed to OpenAI.

I was inspired by the way ChatGPT writes bullet lists, then invites you to "delve" deeper. This is an interface that reifies that rabbit-holing process into a tiling layout. The model is instructed to output hyperlink-prompts when it mentions something you might want to delve into. Lots of features to add (sessions, sharing, navigation, highlight-to-delve, images, ...). Would love to hear other usecases and ideas!

ChatGDB is a tool designed to superpower your debugging experience with GDB, a debugger for compiled languages. Use it to accelerate your debugging workflow by leveraging the power of ChatGPT to assist you while using GDB! It allows you to explain in natural language what you want to do, and then automatically execute the relevant command. Optionally, you can ask ChatGPT to explain the command it just ran or even pass in any question for it to answer. Focus on what's important - figuring out that nasty bug instead of chasing down GDB commands at the tip of your tongue. See it here:…

Hi HN, As a developer, I much prefer to write code than read other people’s code. But most projects I work on involve other developers so it’s hard to avoid. Often I find it really hard to quickly parse other people’s code so I thought maybe ChatGPT could help. ChatGPT does a really nice job of giving clear explanations when you paste in code and ask it to explain it. But the interface is a bit of a pain to use if you’re using it many times a day. It’s also hard to share explanations with co-workers. So I built whatdoesthiscodedo.com. Just paste your code and get your ChatGPT explanation and…

YourGPT 2.0▲215Today we are launching YourGPT 2.0, an update focused on making support, sales, and operational workflows work together more smoothly in one system. This release improves how workflows are built, how the platform connects to external tools, and how context is maintained across long, multi-channel interactions. AI Studio now makes it much easier to create and refine workflows. You can describe the process you want in natural language and the system generates the full workflow for you. It can also help debug issues by showing what happened at each step and explaining where things went off…
