24 alternatives to Sudo AI

Sudo — AI monetization infrastructure for developers 4 months ago, I kept running into the same problem building AI products: inference is expensive, subscriptions are blunt, and ads weren’t designed for generated content. So I started working on Sudo, an infrastructure layer that makes it easier to launch and monetize AI apps. ⸻ Key features (in beta now): • One API to route across top models (no vendor lock-in) • Real-time metering & billing (usage-based, subscriptions, or hybrid) • Optional AI-native ads — contextual, developer-defined, and personalized • Dashboard for tracking usage,…

Sudo AI is a unified API platform that routes requests across multiple large language models including OpenAI, Anthropic, and Gemini. Designed for developers, it provides a single endpoint to optimize latency… Below are 24 products that do a similar job, ranked by how close each is in meaning and then by launch-day votes. Hey HN — I’m Adil from Katanemo (with Salman, Shuguang, and Meiyu) We previously shared an early version of this project as ArchGW. Based on customer feedback, the scope expanded from “LLM routing and model access” into something broader: delivery infrastructure for agentic applications. We renamed it to Plano and reworked the architecture accordingly. The problem On-the-ground AI practitioners will tell you that calling an LLM is not the hard part. The really hard part is delivering agentic applications to production quickly and reliably, then iterating without rewriting system code every…

Hey HN, I've been building SimplAI for the past several months — it's a platform for building, testing, and deploying LLM-powered agents and multi-step workflows. The problem I kept running into: spinning up an AI agent pipeline means stitching together prompt management, tool calling, memory, evals, and deployment — often from scratch every time. SimplAI tries to be the layer that handles all of that so you can focus on what your agent actually does. What it does: - Visual + code-first workflow builder for chaining LLM calls, tools, and APIs - Built-in prompt versioning and A/B testing…

Hi HN! We're Gabriel & Viraj, and we're excited to open source TensorZero. To be a little cheeky, TensorZero is an open-source platform that helps LLM applications graduate from API wrappers into defensible AI products. 1. Integrate our model gateway 2. Send metrics or feedback 3. Unlock compounding improvements in quality, cost, and latency It enables a data & learning flywheel for LLMs by unifying: • Inference: one API for all LLMs, with <1ms P99 overhead • Observability: inference & feedback → your database • Optimization: better prompts, models, inference strategies • Experimentation:…

Hi there, Mike here from Budibase. We’ve recently launched AI Agents into Beta, alongside our existing open-source app-building and automation tools. We built Budibase Agents for teams that want to leverage AI within real-world workflows, using their own LLMs, data, and APIs. Because of this, our Agents can be powered by any LLM with an OpenAI-compatible API, including open-source and locally-hosted models. This means you can build Agents that connect to your existing toolstack, within your own environment. Some more details: - Agents' behavior is configured using natural language…

I built an OpenAI-compatible LLM gateway that routes requests to OpenAI, Anthropic, Ollama, vLLM, llama-server, SGLang... anything that speaks /v1/chat/completions. Single Go binary, one YAML config file, no infrastructure. It does the things you'd expect from this kind of gateway... semantic routing via a three-layer cascade (keyword heuristics, embedding similarity, LLM classifier) that picks the best model when clients omit the model field, weighted round-robin load balancing across local inference servers with health checks and failover. The part I think is most…

Hey HN! After the Car Wash Test post got quite a big discussion going (400+ comments, https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=47128138), I spent the past few weeks building a tool so anyone can run these kinds of questions and get structured results. No signup and free to use. You type a question, define answer options, pick up to 50 models at a time from a pool of 200+, and they all answer independently under identical conditions. No system prompt, structured output, same setup for every model. You can also run a debate round where models see each other's reasoning and get a…

Hello HN, I’ve always loved building frontend-only apps—those you can prototype over a weekend, host for free on GitHub Pages, and scale to millions of users. Unfortunately, AI-enabled apps complicate things, as exposing your OpenAI key to the world is obviously a no-go. This also means mobile developers often have to run their own servers. That’s why I built ServerlessAI, an API gateway that lets you securely call multiple AI providers directly from client side using OpenAI-compatible APIs. You can authenticate users through any identity provider, like Google or Apple, and set per-user…

Hi, I'm working on a project that regroups all best AI (AIaaS) from different providers (GCP, AWS, Azure, DeepL, etc.) in one API (https://github.com/edenai/edenai-apis). I've got asked the question : why aren't you regrouping Open Source models (instead of proprietary APIs) into one repo? Well because it doesn't make sens to deploy and maintain large pytorch (or other framework) AI models (especially for document parsing, image and video moderation or speech recognition) in every solution that wants AI capabilities. So using APIs makes way more sens. Deployed OpenSource…

Hey everyone, we just opened the beta for Natrul AI. It’s a lightweight way to add autocomplete, search, content enhancement, and context retrieval to your app. Everything runs on your own content. It's free to join and a good chance to try the API in something small. Would love your feedback, ideas, or edge cases. Curious to see how it fits into whatever you're building. The only reason this exists is because AI coding turns intrusive thoughts into product launches overnight. In reality, this was a good toy project to test out Cloudflare's platform. I've traditionally used AWS / Netlify / and a few others. Cloudflare was pretty easy to set up and they offer at-cost .ai domains. $140 for 2 years... painful for Nanna, but hey, boosts that valuation multiple by at least 2x. I'll probably use this as a project to experiment with some other things, like some of the new payments / billing startups being built for AI-specific use cases.

I spent the last 10 months building this multi‑app AI platform as a non‑programmer by directing AI tools instead of writing code myself. I was interested in computer science years ago, but stepped away from it right as OOP was becoming standard, so I never learned to program in any practical sense. This project is my first real attempt at building software, done entirely through prompt‑driven development. The platform includes document chat, OCR, translation, tutoring, agents, voice chat, a to‑do list, and a working Stripe subscription system. My goal is to show what one person can build now…
