Products that do what Supapool – a Supabase per coding agent in ~400 ms does

hi HN, I built supapool.io, an ephemeral full copy of supabase's services that you can spin up in ~400 ms (Auth, postgres, storage, realtime). so if you run multiple coding agents in parallel in different worktrees, they can now have their own copy of supabase without making changes that conflict with eachother. > why not use supabase docker locally? when I run 3-4 instances locally, my macbook gets hot and sometimes freezes. > why not use supabase branches? branches take minutes to setup, and are designed for persistence. this is expensive, and for a dev environment, it is too slow. > why…

Hey HN! I built Typebase, a library that gives you Convex's DX with Supabase's openness. After trying Supabase I liked how fast it is to spin up a DB and auth, but really didn't like using RLS and SQL for authorization. With Convex I loved how your server "lives" in your code, but disliked the DB model and the realtime-first defaults. With Typebase you just write TS files inside a typebase/ folder in your existing repo. You can define your DB tables inside a schema.ts file and export server functions that your frontend calls like local functions, fully typed. Auth is built in. Then one…

I have been pushing up to 90 commits a day on a MacBook Air via 4-5 parallel agents. As you can imagine when all the agents try to build, test and run dev servers on an 8GB machine it is the fast lane to a force quit and restart. I also did not want to pay the CI minutes on 90 pushes a day. So I designed a local merge queue to have all commits land one at a time and fully tested. Hopefully this helps other folks with more modest machines. Appreciate any feedback.

Coding agents spend a lot of time in the shell. When exploring a codebase, they usually reach for the same handful of tools: grep, find, ls, cat. We built a public SSH server that hosts Supabase docs as markdown files so that agents can explore them the same way they explore code: ssh supabase.sh grep -rl 'RLS' docs ssh supabase.sh cat docs/guides/database/postgres/row-level-security.md | head -10 Under the hood commands run inside Vercel's just-bash [1] library - an emulated bash shell sandboxed within the JS runtime. It uses a VFS where the docs are mounted as markdown…

Hi HN, we just released InsForge: an open-source, agent-native alternative to Supabase/Firebase designed from the ground up for AI coding agents like Cline, Cursor, and Claude Code. We're building Supabase's features in an AI-native way, enabling agents to build and manage full-stack applications autonomously. (GitHub: https://github.com/InsForge/InsForge) With coding agents, coding is actually the easy part now. You can build a working prototype for your idea in a few hours and run it locally. But to make it production-ready, you still have a long list of things to…

Hey HN, I built SuperHQ, an app that lets you run coding agents in local sandboxes (powered by Shuru). No custom UI wrapping the agents, they run as CLI/TUI like they were designed to. It just provides you the tools most of us (okay, maybe just me?) needed for running multiple coding agents in parallel without worrying about breaking your system or work environment. Each agent runs in its own microVM. You mount your projects in, writes go to a tmpfs overlay so your host is never touched, and you get a unified diff view to accept or discard changes. API keys never enter the sandbox, they…

I'd like to share a project I've been working on for the past few months. It's a distributed workflow engine written entirely in Go. Some highlights: * Tasks are executed in a Docker container * Can run stand-alone or distributed * Highly extensible * Able to enforce limits (CPU/RAM) per task * Web UI Would love the get your feedback on it, and find out if this could be useful.

Beads tables (Steve Yegge's) for issue tracking. Can view git trees, terminals, issue tables, notes, and files all on one screen. Can connect multiple machines via private network (like tailscale) I had this issue where i really did not like the when i had many terminals open at the same time - when you try to code with 6+ agents at the same time, across, say, 3 projects, you get huge context fragmentation. I am a visual person, and its way easier for me to remember where things are if I placed them there - I build this 2D canvas for myself initially and then decided to open-source - the…
