Hi folks, I started thinking some time ago about how to use ReactJS's server-side features with backends that aren’t specifically built with Node.js or Deno. After some research, I found that the only strict requirement is a JS engine for server-side rendering, while the rest of the runtime can be in any language. For this reason, I started developing a full-stack ReactJS web framework with a Rust-based backend (the API draws heavy inspiration from Next.js). The server performance is already impressive, with a 4x improvement over the latest Next.js. We’re tracking it in a separate…

I built rapid-rs to eliminate the hours of boilerplate when starting a new Rust web service. One command gets you: - Auto-configured DB, logging, CORS - OpenAPI/Swagger UI at /docs - Request validation - Production-ready observability Built on Axum. Early benchmarks show ~50K req/s with 10-20MB RAM. This is v0.1 - feedback welcome! Crates: https://crates.io/crates/rapid-rs

Announcing: ADAPT Framework ALPHA release and demo ADAPT Framework is a developer toolkit for replacing a centralized web back end with a decentralized mesh of interconnected data nodes. ADAPT is an easy way to build non-custodial internet applications for document sharing, messaging, credential management, medical data sharing, and other similar use cases. ADAPT enables developers to create data nodes that work identically on the front end and server side. All business logic that was traditionally placed into the back-end of an application can now be implemented by defining the behavior of…

After I posted about https://cosme.dev/ask-docs on Reddit I received some messages asking me how If I was going to make the code open source or if I could show them how I did it. So I decided to create this repo so you can take a look at the code and maybe apply the same techniques on your own apps. It's made using only PHP as language so I think is pretty different since most stuff out there is made using python or javascript. It uses the OpenAI API and Redis as a vector database.

Hey HN, My team and I built a tool to scratch our own itch. We were tired of spending the first few days of every new project setting up the same Vue + Laravel boilerplate: writing migrations, models, basic CRUD controllers, and wiring up forms and tables on the frontend. So we built Codecannon. It’s a web app where you define your data models, columns, and relationships, and it generates a full-stack application for you. To be clear, the code isn't AI-generated. It's produced deterministically by our own code generators, so the output is always predictable, clean, and follows conventional…
