This is ymawky, a static file web server for MacOS written entirely in ARM64 assembly. It supports GET, PUT, DELETE, HEAD, and OPTIONS requests, and supports Range: bytes=X-Y headers (which allows scrubbing for video streaming). It decodes percent-encoded URLs, strictly enforces docroot, serves custom error pages for any HTTP error response, supports directory listing, and has (some) mitigations against slowloris-like attacks. I’ve also written a more detailed writeup here: https://imtomt.github.io/ymawky/

Hey HN! I wanted to share this OSS project I've been working on. It's called Yap and its a small menu-bar app for macOS that does voice to text for any input. You'll set a hotkey, press it, talk, press it again, and the text gets pasted into whatever field you were in. Everything runs locally and never leaves your computer. Fully OSS and MIT licensed. With macOS 26, Apple recently added two new APIs, SpeechAnalyzer and SpeechTranscriber, that do streaming on-device speech to text using models the OS ships and manages. So the app ships no model of its own and loads nothing before the first…

This is a project I've been working on since the start of Covid-19. I built an app so that I don't have to put data into online tools like JWT debugger, JSON formatter, URL decoder, etc... https://devutils.app The app works entirely offline and is open-source. I'm selling the pre-built version of the app to earn some revenue for my time. If you want to try the app but can't afford the price or don't have XCode to build the app, drop me an email (my profile), I'll be happy to provide you a free build. I would love to hear all the feedback/suggestions. Thanks!

https://freakynit.gumroad.com/l/downloads-director MacOS app that automatically moves downloaded files into folders based on their extensions. You can create custom rules (e.g., .jpg → Pictures) and apply them in real time or on-demand. It works in the background and supports both ARM and Intel Macs. Free to use. Feedback welcome! Thanks.. PS: No strings attached kind of free. No personally identifiable data is collected. Completely safe to use. Just something I built for myself, then polished it a bit for others to use.

hi everybody, I’ve been working on this harness that is all native Swift for macOS. It’s fully featured with every feature i could find in cline, codex, and claude code. There is all swift command line too It’s taking me a long, long time, a few months to build this, and it’s fully open source Apache 2 licensed. Hoping people fork this and make many branches I’m looking for people who want to work on something that has much lower memory usage and much more potential to be just more efficient. Every other single harness has is written in using electron, so this harness is really unique in…
