Hello HN! I've been building this side project which is a task manager as simple and as powerful as I've been able to built it. It's specially thought for the tasks that you must complete at work, and you want to remember but you want to avoid all the bureaucracy of some TO-DO apps like JIRA. It's been quite a journey to build it. Its backend lives in Amazon Lightsail, and for now it's a Django app with a SQLite database. I'm quite surprised on how good SQLite has been performing on all the tests so far. The frontend it's a React app. Everything is pretty standard, but those are technologies…

For the past 6 months, I’ve been building Docai, a tool to automate project documentation from Jira. As a dev, I’ve worked on too many projects where documentation was missing, outdated, or written too late. Most of the time, we had to dig through Jira tickets to understand what was built and why. It was painful. So I decided to fix that. Docai reads your Jira releases and generates clean, structured documentation automatically. Here’s what it does: - Generates documentation from Jira tickets (based on versions/releases) - Builds an incremental feature tree to follow the evolution of…

Hi HN - I’m Peter, here with Max (hmaxdml), and we’re building DBOS Go, an open-source Go library for durable workflows, backed by Postgres. https://github.com/dbos-inc/dbos-transact-golang DBOS workflows make your programs durable by automatically checkpointing their state to Postgres. If your program crashes or fails, all workflows seamlessly resume from their last completed step when your program restarts. This durability makes workflows useful for solving many different problems, including: - Operating an AI agent, or anything that connects to an unreliable or…

Built on top of templUI - https://templui.io - (OSS), which I also created. goilerplate handles auth, subscriptions, docs, etc. SQLite by default, Postgres optional. Polar integration for payments. Feedback welcome!

Hey HN, My dad, friend, and I have been working hard on building Twigflo, a flowchart-based project planning tool to help teams visualize their projects using the concept reverse planning. When I was a data consultant, I struggled keeping my team and clients aligned to a specific goal. Spreadsheets or equivalent tracking tools did a good job showing what to do but didn't explain why we were doing it and where we were going. So, like many of us here, we invested the time into building our own tool. We tried to make Twiglfo as goal-oriented and BIG PICTURE as possible. You and your team can…
