Brat Generator▲122I have always been curious about how the fancy text styles on social media work. After researching Unicode characters, I started developing my own tool to convert simple text into fancy styles. Although I have created other similar tools, I believe this one is my best work. Similar tools exist, but they’re usually packed with annoying ads and pop-ups, have clunky interfaces, offer limited styles, and don’t make it clear that these fonts are for casual use, and not for situations where accessibility is a concern. I’ve tried to fix all these issues, and I’d love to hear your feedback!

I was inspired by Nothing Forever to make something while it's off air - Channel 784. It's a parody of evening news. How it works: I have a Node server that generates headlines, then expands each one and creates an intro and outro based on them, and then passes the headlines to DALL-E to generate pictures for each story and the stories to Google Cloud to generate speech. Then I save that as a JSON and load it into Unreal Engine. I'm not sure it's as funny as Nothing Forever, it's a bit more structured. If anyone's got any suggestions I'd love to hear them.

Saw the remotion claude skills launch earlier, and honestly even though I was surprised how decent some of the results turned out to be I ended up never trying it out with claude code because I knew I'd have to setup remotion, bundler etc and if I was already doing it once I thought I might as well turn it into a site where anyone could just write messages and get a video without any prerequisites. I also know Claude Code is not something everyone has and setting up remotion is a pain. And one of the biggest lessons I learned from this whole experience is that Opus is actually not that good…
