Products that do what The first consumer AI that can make any type of phone call does
Good morning HN, Today we’re launching a free public beta for Vibrato, a consumer AI assistant that makes phone calls for you. The phone calls can be simple, like making an appointment, to complex, like negotiating a lower utility bill. As far as I know, this is the first time consumers have had the ability to make general calls with AI. We’re launching with two major features: - a task library, where you can immediately have Vibrato perform a specific task that we’ve vetted, like making a doctor’s appointment or reducing your Comcast cable internet bill. - a GPT for ChatGPT (Plus…

We're living in this weird asymmetry where companies use AI to talk to us, but we're still manually dialing them. Companies everywhere are adopting AI voice agents lately. Big retail, family dentist clinics, local pharmacy. This year, I've been in a few calls where it's super natural sounding AI, which has been pretty cool to experience. But then it got me thinking - why are we, the consumers, still the ones making calls if they're using robots for theirs? So I built Piper: basically AI that makes phone calls for you. You tell it what you need (book appointment, check on an order, dispute…

Hi HN, I built this out of frustration of the evergrowing list of AI models and features to try and to fit my workflow. The visual approach clicks for me so i went with it, it provides more freedom and control of the outcome, because predictable results and increased productivity is what I’m after when using conversational AI. The app is packed with features, my most used are prompt library, voice input and text search, narration is useful too. The app is local-first and works right in the browser, no sign up needed and it's absolutely free to try. BYOAK – bring your own API Keys. Let me…

ThunderPhone▲103Hi folks, my partner and I just finished the MVP of a no-code AI phone automation tool called ThunderPhone. I'd love to get your thoughts. We've worked on a few phone AI projects recently, and have had a couple of persistent frustrations with tools like Retell, Vapi, etc. - namely that they're quite complicated to set up, and pretty pricy, around 10 cents a minute. After kicking the idea around for a while, we finally decided to go for it and build this. ThunderPhone costs 2 cents a minute for inbound and outbound calls, telephony charges included. It also handles a variety of integrations…

Hey HN, we're the co-founders of LemonSlice (try our HN playground here: https://lemonslice.com/hn). We train interactive avatar video models. Our API lets you upload a photo and immediately jump into a FaceTime-style call with that character. Here's a demo: https://www.loom.com/share/941577113141418e80d2834c83a5a0a9 Chatbots are everywhere and voice AI has taken off, but we believe video avatars will be the most common form factor for conversational AI. Most people would rather watch something than read it. The problem is that generating video in real-time…

Hey HN, Chris here. I have been playfully hacking on a few ideas that leverage some of the latest AI tools (both open-source and proprietary). One in particular seems somewhat useful and is ready for a few more eyeballs. The idea is to make building very capable AI phone agents as easy as creating an online form. We think the ease of production will lead to some interesting enterprise use cases. I'd love your feedback (order a Pizza from Vito in the demo to see how it performs) and in particular your ideas about potential uses. Thanks!
