Hey HN, We're Alex, Martin and Laurent. We previously founded Wit.ai (W14), which we sold to Facebook in 2015. Since 2019, we've been working on Nabla (https://nabla.com), an intelligent assistant for health practitioners. When GPT-3 was released in 2020, we investigated it's usage in a medical context[0], to mixed results. Since then we’ve kept exploring opportunities at the intersection of healthcare and AI, and noticed that doctors spend am awful lot of time on medical documentation (writing clinical notes, updating their EHR, etc.). Today, we're releasing Nabla Copilot, a…

Clint is an open-sourced medical information lookup and reasoning tool. Clint enables a user to have an interactive dialogue about medical conditions, symptoms, or simply to ask medical questions. Clint helps connect regular health concerns with complex medical information. It does this by converting colloquial language into medical terms, gathering and understanding information from medical resources, and presenting this information back to the user in an easy-to-understand way. One of the key features of Clint is that its processing is local. It's served using GitHub pages and utilizes the…

I have some chronic medical conditions, and spend a lot of time asking about different drugs and supplements. Wanted to create a resource that others might get value from. It's trained to always provide citations, and to urge people to see their doctor before making major decisions. Open for feedback.

Examples are “sensitivity”, “specificity”, “predictive values”, “odds ratio”, “likelihood ratios” and numerous others. In the literature and medical presentations there is often not much consistency in their use; as a physician listening to or reading research, I was perpetually unclear on how these terms “fit together”. My solution was to invent the visual 2 by 2 diagram, or truth diagram, as a graphical alternative to the…

Hey HN! Abboud Chaballout here - founder of Diagnoss - where we aim to free medical providers from the mundane. One of the tools we built reads clinicians' notes in real-time, as they are charting, to tee up diagnoses they can use for documentation purposes. You can try it here: (https://demo.diagnoss.com/) without downloading anything. The current workflow of doctors today requires them to (1) type out a patient encounter (e.g. "patient presents with chest pain") and then (2) use a search bar in their electronic health record system to search and add the chest pain diagnosis…
