We're open-sourcing Sighthound today, our rules-based static security scanner. What makes it special is that it's coded in rust and uses tree-sitter as it's AST making it very fast and easily extensible. Why build another scanner in 2026? Tracecat automates the tasks a security analyst has to do when responding to a security alert: e.g. contact victims, investigate security logs, report vulnerability. Hi everyone, I built a runtime to isolate untrusted code using wasm sandboxes. Basically, it protects your host system from problems that untrusted code can cause. We’ve had a great discussion about sandboxing in Python lately that elaborates a bit more on the problem [1].
