As you solve LeetCode questions, you can mark them as hard, medium, or easy. The tool will then recommend questions you should review based on (1) how hard the question was for you and (2) how much time has passed since you last reviewed it. I'd recommend normally attempting LeetCode problems and just marking them as hard, medium, or easy for you at first so the tool knows which problems to recommend you review! Hey everyone! We're Evan and Caelean, the authors of Tach. Tach lets you visualize the architecture of your Python codebase, and gives you the tools to incrementally improve it. It uses module boundaries to give teams the benefits of microservices without the deployment complexity. If your code has been getting tangled up as your team and codebase grows, Tach helps you move back in the right direction, incrementally and quickly. You can use Tach to incrementally adopt a "modular monolith" architecture [1], for better local reasoning and smoother feature development. Since our last Show HN…

Hey! We are presenting CodeTracer - a user-friendly time-traveling debugger designed to support a wide range of programming languages: https://github.com/metacraft-labs/codetracer?tab=readme-ov-f... CodeTracer records the execution of a program into a sharable self-contained trace file. You can load the produced trace files in a GUI environment that allows you to move forward and backward through the execution and to examine the history of all memory locations. They say a picture is worth a thousand words — well, a video is even better! Watch the demo below to see…

Probly was built to reduce context-switching between spreadsheet applications, Python notebooks, and AI tools. It’s a simple spreadsheet that lets you talk to your data. Need pandas analysis? Just ask in plain English, and the code runs right in your browser. Want a chart? Just ask. While there are tools available in this space like TheBricks, Probly is a minimalist, open-source solution built with React, TypeScript, Next.js, Handsontable, Hyperformula, Apache Echarts, OpenAI, and Pyodide. It's still a work in progress, but it's already useful for my daily tasks.

Hey Xinwei and Zecheng here, we are the authors of TraceRoot (https://github.com/traceroot-ai/traceroot). TraceRoot (https://traceroot.ai) is an open-source debugging platform that helps engineers fix production issues faster by combining structured traces, logs, source code contexts and discussions in Github PRs, issues and Slack channels, etc. with AI Agents. At the heart are our lightweight Python (https://github.com/traceroot-ai/traceroot-sdk) and TypeScript (https://github.com/traceroot-ai/traceroot-sdk-ts) SDKs -…

Hi HN! We’re Adrien and Kanav. We met at our previous job, where we spent about a third of our lives combating a constant firehose of bugs. In the hope of reducing this pain for others in the future, we’re working on automating debugging. We’re currently working on a platform that ingests logs and then automatically reproduces, root causes and ultimately fixes production bugs as they happen. You can see some of our work on this here - https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=39528087 As we were building the root-cause phase of our automated debugger, we realized that we developed…

Hey HN, we're developing Burr (github.com/dagworks-inc/burr), an open-source python framework that makes it easier to build and debug GenAI applications. Burr is a lightweight library that can integrate with your favorite tools and comes with a debugging UI. If you prefer a video introduction, you can watch me build a chatbot here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rEZ4oDN0GdU. Common friction points we’ve seen with GenAI applications include logically modeling application flow, debugging and recreating error cases, and curating data for testing/evaluation (see…

Hi HN! We built Nuanced (https://github.com/nuanced-dev/nuanced), an open-source Python library that makes AI coding tools smarter about code structure. The problem: current AI coding assistants see code as just text. They don't understand which functions call which, or how code components depend on each other. This is why they often suggest changes that break dependencies they should have known about. Nuanced solves this by generating call graphs that map these relationships. When you ask "What would break if I change this function?", instead of guessing, the AI can see…
