smrt.shopping - a smart shopping list that automatically categorizes things you add by the area they'll be in the store. It saves all data in localstorage. No signup needed. Nothing to install. I just finished making zezti.com. I wanted something to help me keep track of what groceries i had and what i needed, without having to maintain a list. Zezti does just that, so i can check a list of exactly what i have in my pantry from the store. It also has a list for the old-fashioned folks. While making this, i also learned Rails, JQuery, and JQuery Mobile. It is still a little rough, and I have heard that is certain situations, when adding an item to a list it starts looping. I built this because I see that grocery savings are achievable in NYC. People usually just go to the store they're used to going to, and it's rarely worth the effort of combing through card cashback, weekly coupons, CPG rebates. Most people leave real money on the table by not stacking them, and even more don't even know that these deals are out there.... so I built a way to automate it.
