Made a tool to organize thoughts. Actually it is a mind tree, but in a more web-friendly form. It has pivoted from what I originally started building at evryca.com. Some years ago I got the idea of fractal conversation, instead of old-school tree/ladder-like comments. I wanted to see only comments related to the current level. I started making "something" with fractal comments. This "something" was a project discussion platform. But it turned out that even I myself don't use it, and the idea of fractal comments stuck there unused. And recently it dawned on me that it may be a…

GitDiagram is an open-source micro dev-tool that I made this past week Given any public GitHub repository it generates diagrams in Mermaid.js with Claude 3.5 Sonnet I extract information from the file tree and README for details and interactivity (you can click components to be taken to relevant files and directories) Also, you can replace "hub" with "diagram" in any repository URL to access its diagram I created this because I wanted to contribute to open-source projects but quickly realized their codebases are too massive for me to dig through manually, so this helps me get started I do…

I've created Tree of Knowledge (tree-of-knowledge.org), a dynamic visualization tool that organizes all fields of knowledge into an interactive tree structure (generated by AI). As a Computer Science student, I built this to make exploring and connecting different areas of knowledge more intuitive and engaging. You can satiate your curiosity and grasp anything a click away... fast and easy. Key features: - Start from the green 'Knowledge' node to explore the entire tree - Customize your own Start Node to focus on any specific area (this can be anything!) - Interactive interface for easy…

This started as a hard requirement for my TUI-based editor application, it ended up going in a few different directions. A suite of tools that help with semantic code entities: https://github.com/odvcencio/gts-suite A next-gen version control system called Got: https://github.com/odvcencio/got I think this has some pretty big potential! I think there's many classes of application (particularly legacy architecture) that can benefit from these kinds of analysis tooling. My next post will be about composing all these together, an exciting project I call…

Hi HN, we’re Jamie and Matti, co-founders of Twigg. During our master’s we continually found the same pain points cropping up when using LLMs. The linear nature of typical LLMs interfaces - like ChatGPT and Claude - made it really easy to get lost without any easy way to visualise or navigate your project. Worst of all, none of them are well suited for long term projects. We found ourselves spending days using the same chat, only for it to eventually break. Transferring context from one chat to another is also cumbersome. We decided to build something more intuitive to the ways humans think.…
