I built Trott out of frustration with my own “Saved” folders on Instagram and YouTube. I’d save reels and shorts—workout tips, recipes, travel spots—thinking I’d find them again later. Today's internet is filled with dopamine wells of content. I wanted to steer away from that and foster meaningful writing. So I made a site where you can only have a single post. The intention is to encourage thoughtful posts like the blogs we all love here at HN (Paul Graham's, fasterthanlime, Bartosz Ciechanowski's, etc). I've always wanted to just upload a whole book to ChatGPT and ask questions. Obviously with the char limit that's impossible... So some buddies and I built Ghost. We have it limited to 5 pages for uploads for now, but plan on expanding the limit soon. Let me know what you guys think!
