Hi HN, Shawn here. My rooftop system lost about half a year of production and nobody told me. Not the installer, not the monitoring app, not the utility. I found out from an electric bill that made no sense, then spent weeks digging through the monitoring portal by hand. SunRanker is what I wished existed that day. Connect a system once (Enphase OAuth, or a SolarEdge site ID plus API key) and it reads production daily, shows it in plain language, and emails you when something actually changes. Three alerts only. The connection broke, the monitoring went quiet, or output has been well below…

Hey, HN! Cody and Jake here, the founders of FeatureTracker (https://www.featuretracker.com). We have one simple goal, to allow creators to make data-backed decisions when building interfaces. Maybe you have a really fancy date picker and are looking for ways to scale it back. With FeatureTracker you can track the granular usage of each component of that date picker, then decide what to keep and what to cut based on actual numbers. We track specific clicks and provide a few simple data points to make you feel a little more comfortable making decisions and less like you’re driving…

I didn't like google analytics for obvious privacy reasons, and I didn't like the existing self-hosted options because of how complicated they are. I always wanted a simple, basic tool, similar to plausible, but even simpler. So a few weeks ago I rebuilt my prototype into a reusable tool. And I made it open source. I built a website, a documentation, and I'd be excited for someone else to try it too. Who knows, maybe if enough people like the idea, I might even make it into a SaaS to save…

Hey HN, I built Subwise to solve a personal pain point: keeping track of all the subscriptions I’ve signed up for — from SaaS tools to streaming services. What it does Automatically detects subscriptions from checkout pages using a browser extension Syncs with a web dashboard that categorizes, tracks, and reminds you of recurring charges Gives spending analytics, trends, and cost-saving insights Supports multi-currency tracking (USD, PHP, SGD) with live conversion Why I built it Too many tools focus just on logging expenses. I wanted something that works more like a smart assistant —…
