Hi all! This morning, we released a new Apache 2.0 licensed model on HuggingFace for detecting hallucinations in retrieval augmented generation (RAG) systems. What we've found is that even when given a "simple" instruction like "summarize the following news article," every LLM that's available hallucinates to some extent, making up details that never existed in the source article -- and some of them quite a bit. As a RAG provider and proponents of ethical AI, we want to see LLMs get better at this. We've published an open source model, a blog more thoroughly describing our methodology (and…

(You will need to make a (free) account on the website to try out the skilltree.) The Guild of the ROSE is excited to announce the full launch of the Practitioner's Path 2.0, a new framework for structured self-improvement via a carefully-designed skilltree. Show HN: MindWallet.com Insanely Organized Social Media You can read this on MindWallet as intended here: http://www.mindwallet.com/?ItemKey=787541c7-0860-41ea-a21a-2322e06675c3&ParentID=48851752-ea96-40cc-bfb4-c8b07beba934 Hi HN. Here is my ‘project’: http://www.mindwallet.com I’d love to get your feedback. I’m going to put a lot here about how I got here and where I’m going. If you want a TLDR: I layered social media on top of the ‘todo list’ style app that has been popular recently because I think it is an amazing interface for do things beyond todo lists. And here is a video:…

Hi there, are you familiar with MBTI, DiSC, Big Five? Well I'm experimenting with a new kind of personality test, Archetype 360, and I'd love for you to try it for free and tell me what you think. - 24 traits across 12 opposing pairs -- that's three times more dimensions than MBTI or DiSC, so you get a much more nuanced profile. - A unique narrative report generated with AI (Claude), written in natural language instead of generic type blurbs. - Your role, goals, and current challenges are blended into the analysis, so the report feels relevant to your real‑life context, not just abstract…

Hey HN! Recently published a book developing new frameworks of meaning and value informed by our most advanced cosmology and physics. It makes the argument for the necessity of spiritual revolution in order to free the abundance trapped in the world, a reimagination that interlinks the spiritual project to systemic reformation. The inspiration for the text draws from my history of social impact work and the frustrations and lessons learned along the way. If it's of interest you can learn more/read it/download it in a variety of formats for free at https://singletruth.org.

Hey HN, I recently built whatstype.org , a free personality test website that helps people explore their thinking, communication, and relationship patterns. Unlike most MBTI-style sites that only give you a short label, Whatstype digs deeper: The test adapts to your responses dynamically Results are structured around reasoning style, emotional pattern, and social interaction Each of the 16 personality types includes detailed analysis, strengths, challenges, and real-life advice No login, no tracking — everything runs client-side I built it because I was frustrated with the typical “clickbait…

Atrophy is an iOS self-report quiz aimed at software engineers who use LLMs heavily enough at work to wonder if they're trending toward AI over-reliance or some form of AI psychosis. I built it because I noticed a pattern: formerly AI-skeptical coworkers now open every standup or design discussion with "I asked Claude..." or "Claude told me..." for technical problems and design decisions. I've felt the same pull myself to delegate every task or problem to AI. It's easy to lean on these tools for almost any amount of critical thinking or problem solving, and I'm worried about what it means…
