I'm a ex Facebook & AOL designer. I recently quit my job to start a design studio of my own and I'm looking to build up my portfolio. I'm looking to work with amazing entrepreneurs to help them design even more amazing products. -FAQs: -What does $1k includes? Everything we can design in 1 week. I'm experienced enough to design a whole app in a week or so. -Do you take equity? No. -Do you also design web apps? Sure. I'm open for all platforms: Web, android, iOS, etc. except VR/3D. -How does it work? I will be booking on first-come, first-served basis. Contact is in my profile. Initial…

I’ve always found it funny how simple feedback widgets end up as $20–$30/month products. The tech is dead simple, infra is cheap, and most of us here could rebuild one in a weekend. So as a “principle experiment” I built my own today as a side project and priced it at 1 dollar. Just because if something is cheap to run and easy to replicate, it should be priced accordingly, and it’s also fun marketing. 1$ feedback tool. Shipped today, got the first users/moneys today, writing this post today. Side Sunday project, then back to the main product tomorrow.

http://cheergram.com Hey there everyone. I have been reading HN a bit here sans there but haven't ever submitted/commented before. (I am a stay at home mom) Anyway I had this idea a while back and had my husband help me build it. I tried to do most of the designs, though some are stock vectors. Anyway I'd love your feedback on anything that will help this business grow. Thanks so much.

When I see what some HN members have done in a weekend on their projects, it makes it hard to confess that it has taken us 1 year to get to this stage. I kept trying to make things perfect, but finally I have seen the light - it will never be perfect and even in its current state, I see so much we need to improve, but it's something. Instead of delaying even more, I thought I would release it to the best critics out there - HN say hello to MyProperty.com Hope to hear your feedback, criticism, thoughts.

I'm gauging interest for a service that would help connect devs/designers/copywriters with folks who have short term projects (a few days or weeks of work). The projects would range in value, but should ideally be at least a few $100. Through Forrst, there are already thousands of such people available to work, it's just a matter of if this is interesting to the other side. If it is, would you leave your info? Thanks a ton. We've got a "launch" planned via a few partners here in town, from which we expect a significant amount of domain-specific traffic (i.e. a buncha designers). We'd love to get HNs take on our landing page from a marketing perspective and, if you feel so inclined, the functionality we have in place within the app. I've disabled the private beta lock such that if you register an account you will have immediate access to the app. You can find the landing page at http://www.pixelstew.com If you have any questions about anything at all please don't hesitate to ask!

Hello HN! I've been working on http://underthesite.com for the last month and now think it is ready for some full strength HN feedback. What do you guys think? It crawls up to 10 pages of a given site while you wait, looking for community-provided CSS / XPath selectors and regular expressions. Additionally, I'd like to appeal to you to submit matchers for technologies that you care about. Technologies are easy to add, so add your favorite jQuery plugins, analytics tools, client-side node.js wrappers, what have you. I'm going to be running a large crawl in the next few days and want to make…

Early this week I offered to donate 8 hours to any project that needed some design help. There were a few candidates and thanks to everyone that emailed me and posted in the comments. I decided to lend my time to Simple Invoices, an open source invoicing system. You can see the result here: http://jasonstrachan.com/clients/simpleinvoices/ And the original site here: http://simpleinvoices.org/ Comments and feedback welcome.

[1/2] Thursday evening (Mar 26) we made a soft launch for https://uidesigndaily.com (a UI website that I built for my wife) The goal was to get some feedback, fix bugs and get about 30-40 subscribers in the mailing list, to see how the newsletter performs. The launch went better than expected, and the feedback was generally positive. Below are some numbers for those interested. I posted it to 4 channels, IH, HN, Reddit and Twitter. It was best received on HN with 203 points, it made it in the top 10, and it stayed on the front page for a good while. Reddit also surprised me, I…

http://www.percodate.com/ - DO NOT PAY FOR THE SITE. Use code HEYHN if you want to sign up. I've had some experience with website development, but I'm not technical whatsoever. So I went on craigslist (in Los Angeles) to look for an engineer to build a dating site. Luckily, I found someone amazing. We agreed on $4,000 in milestone payments and $6,000 in potential bonuses if the site does well. We recently launched the site and would love your feedback. I know the design is lacking, but any feedback would be appreciated!!

linkrdr (www.linkrdr.com), a personal link aggregator, was directly inspired by http://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=3555923 I read while browsing on HN. It's still a bit rough, but the concept is an interesting one and people have already shown interest. Let me know what you think. Also, if anyone knows a good UX designer, email me :)

As a front-end engineer that worked in multiple product teams, there are a lot of discussions between PM/Designers/Engineers made to ensure everyone's aligned before features/fixes are shipped. I'm building a tool to make this process easier, so teams can ship faster. Ditch the screenshots/screen recordings, and simplify communication in a single tool. Got some features in mind, but I wanted to get some thoughts from the HN community. Thanks for checking it out! Happy to answer any questions.

Hey there, I’m building blnkfabrics.com Think of it as a Costco for apparel, pay a yearly membership and get the best prices on high quality clothes with no weird logos or designs. The apparel is typically sold at cost+10%(to cover handling and logistics) Site is almost finished, technically is fully operational meaning you can buy the membership right now and the orders will fulfill, but need to fix some factors(landing page, copy, favicon, etc.) Also make sure to check the FAQ page, will answer most questions. If there are other questions you think I should answer let me know Would love…

Hi, i was wondering what the HN community thinks of this email tone check application? Do you think this can be done better with open-source? Disclaimer: I am neither a founder or an employee at the company. Just someone who had a similar idea.

Hey Hacker News, I'm the maker of Kopage, a free & self-hosted Website Builder. While working on new, cool features (AI, of course), it would be great to hear some HN feedback :) Thanks, Simon
