After getting a lot of feedback on my project FinanceLinx.com, which helps startups and growing businesses with finding grants and government backed loans, I've decided to make some of the information public. If you go to the site now, there's an option to request a sample of the financing data. Please let me know how I can improve this, any constructive feedback is welcome!

I scraped more than 400 urls that were listed as supposed good places to launch a startup. I checked out each one, and found a lot of neglected sites, domains for sale, sites asking a lot of money to list your startup, etc. I made notes about my experience with each. I think this could be useful to other startups.

Hello everyone. I'm a relatively new developer and I started my first project to go full production recently. It is a directory of payment processors and payment service providers. It's free to use and gives detailed info on their pricing, business model, supported business types, available countries, prohibited businesses and high risk business support. hey y'all -- can you please tell us if our job search tool sucks? :D we built it using an investor platform called Harmonic.ai to gather startup data, then contextualize it so that job seekers could find out about the most exciting startups hiring first (like if they just raised, growing headcount fast, have an ex-unicorn founder, etc). pretty sure we're the first platform doing anything like this. anyway, let me know what you think. really excited to launch this thing soon! getting feedback from the hn community first is really fun :)

I loved this recent "Show and Tell" thread about side projects posted on HN: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=42373343 It inspired me to build a mini directory that aggregates over 500 side projects posted to HN since 2017. Most of the directory or listing services are worthless from a browser's point of view. Your startup(or any listed business) gets lost somewhere buried under categories and sub-categories.
