24 alternatives to Uruky (EU-based Kagi alternative) now has Image Search and URL Rewrites

You can get a 2h free trial by solving a proof-of-work captcha when topping up your account for the first time. If you'd like to learn more, an independent interview was posted a couple of weeks ago [1], and the FAQ [2] has a lot of information as well. For the source code sharing, we've talked with lawyers and are inclined to no longer require the NDA/NCC for privacy reasons shared with us before (signing requires identification), but instead use a source-available permissive license that doesn't allow competition, like PolyForm Shield [3] (we do still have about 6 months before…

Alright so if you run a self-hosted blog, you've probably noticed AI companies scraping it for training data. And not just a little (RIP to your server bill). There isn't much you can do about it without cloudflare. These companies ignore robots.txt, and you're competing with teams with more resources than you. It's you vs the MJs of programming, you're not going to win. But there is a solution. Now I'm not going to say it's a great solution...but a solution is a solution. If your website contains content that will trigger their scraper's safeguards, it will get dropped from their data…

I built Nocaptcha after getting frustrated with traditional CAPTCHAs both as a user and developer. WebAuthn passkeys offered a promising alternative that's both more secure and user-friendly. What makes Nocaptcha different: - Uses WebAuthn standard instead of puzzle-solving - No need for users to remember passwords or solve puzzles - Open source Current limitation: Working with W3C WebAuthn Community Group on true passkey disposal for this use case. Looking for feedback particularly on: 1. Integration experience 2. User experience compared to traditional CAPTCHAs

This is an educational reference implementation showing how to build reasonably secure, standards-compliant authentication from first principles on Cloudflare Workers. Stack: Hono, Turso (libSQL), PBKDF2-SHA384 + normalization + common-password checks, JWT access + refresh tokens with revocation support, HTTP-only SameSite cookies, device tracking. It's deliberately minimal — no OAuth, no passkeys, no magic links, no rate limiting — because the goal is clarity and auditability. I wrote it mainly to deeply understand edge-runtime auth constraints and to have a clean Apache-2.0 example that…

We had some really interesting HN feedback when we previously posted about one of our example apps [3] so keen to hear what the community has to say this time round. 1. https://www.num.uk 2. https://num.uk/blog/we-crawled-5m-uk-websites-and-published-23m-data-points-to-dns 3. https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=27598164

So I'm a junior Go dev and I made a small site that allows me to share images with someone privately and securely, and give me control over how many times the private link can be shared and how long the image will be accessible for. There are similar services to this one, but they are either convoluted with ads, or require sign-up, or expect you to fill out a survey or something. picburn is small, safe, and has no interest (nor the code or the server space) for storing your uploads. give it a try if it fits your usecase and let me know what you think. Note: there was a typo in the url

Every product that allows usernames eventually ships the same broken solution. Someone adds a blacklist. Then a regex. Then another regex copied from StackOverflow. It works just long enough to ship, and then `admin`, `support`, city names, brand impersonation, and obvious slurs start leaking through anyway. Everyone knows it’s fragile, but it gets ignored because "it’s just usernames". I’ve had to rebuild this logic across multiple products, and I got tired of pretending it’s a solved problem. So I built *username.dev*, an API that answers a more useful question than "is this taken?" — it…

I built it for myself because ngrok didn't let me add one more domain unless I paid $12 more. I probably should've looked for alternatives before building my own, but my grudge got in the way . Once I started, I wanted to make it better than the other options. Silly, I know. No one probably cares. I plan to open source it sometime next year because I’ve got other projects to finish first. It's free until I deplete my cloud credits, then it will switch to a tier-based model with a free option.

I built this because I got tired of watching Claude Code read through massive files just to find a few functions. Sourcerer lets AI agents search code semantically and grab exactly the code chunks they need instead of burning tokens on whole files. It uses tree-sitter to parse your codebase and creates a searchable index. So instead of "read auth.py (538 lines)", an agent can search for "user authentication logic" and get back just the relevant functions. We built Procaptcha to make sure there's an actually good alternative to Google's ReCAPTCHA that's not a complete nightmare for the end user. Crucially we're not just a giant ad network like almost all CAPTCHA providers [1]. Like with other CAPTCHA providers it's simple to set up, you just change a couple of tags [2]. We've got a few different CAPTCHA types at the moment, all running on a distributed network of nodes with no user tracking. [1] https://prosopo.io/articles/stop-giving-your-website-data-aw... Hi all! We are a tiny team of two that enjoyed using del.icio.us back in the day. It was a simple and efficient tool for two things: saving urls for later, and browsing the web thanks to the tags and some other basic features. So we wondered about rebuilding it. Its been quite a ride, but we finally have a streamlined version of what we are looking for. This is www.urligram.com: a prototype for a new social bookmarking platform. We have been using it for some time, and while there is a lot of work to be done yet, we think it is stable enough to be useful. Currently you will be able to save…
