24 alternatives to VirtualStorageLibrary – .NET Tree solutions for items, dirs, symlinks
repository: https://github.com/shimodateakira/VirtualStorageLibrary Hello HN, I'm excited to share a project I've been working on called VirtualStorageLibrary. It's a .NET library designed to manage in-memory tree structures, including items, directories, and symbolic links. VirtualStorageLibrary is a .NET library that operates entirely in-memory and provides a tree-structured collection. This library offers a foundation for managing hierarchical data structures, supporting items, directories, and symbolic links that encapsulate user-defined types (generic types defined…
VirtualStorageLibrary is a .NET library that creates and manages in-memory tree structures for hierarchical data. It supports items, directories, and symbolic links while working with user-defined generic types.… Below are 24 products that do a similar job, ranked by how close each is in meaning and then by launch-day votes. Hi HN! I'm Gabriel, the author of dep-tree (https://github.com/gabotechs/dep-tree), and I wanted to show off this tool and explain why it's being really useful at my current org for dealing with code complexity. I work at a startup where business evolves really fast, and requirements change frequently, so it's easy to end up with big piles of code stacked together without a clear structure, specially with tight deadlines. I made dep-tree [1] to help us maintain a clean code architecture and a logical separation of concerns between parts of the application, which is…

GUI disk analyzers are great for figuring out what's filling up your laptop/desktop drive. On containers or remote servers, the options are limited to purely text based utilities (e.g. du) or list-centric TUIs (e.g. ncdu) which are usually limited to viewing one directory at a time. I created leaves to fill that gap. Inspired by classic utilities like WinDirStat and KDirStat, it uses a 2-dimensional treemap^1 visualization to show the entire directory hierarchy with proportionally sized rectangles. It's performant enough to handle millions of files, thanks to Rust and multi-threading.…

This project presents a new data structure for storing ordered integer maps. The proposed data structure is a compressive, cache-friendly, radix tree that has performance comparable to an unordered map (`std::unordered_map`) and is an order of magnitude faster than an ordered map (`std::map`).
