Hi HN community, I’m Zach, founder and CEO of Warp, and am excited to show you Warp, a fast Rust-based terminal that’s easy to use and built for teams. As of today, Warp is in public beta and any Mac user can download it. It works with bash, zsh, and fish. The terminal’s teletype-like interface has made it hard for the CLI to thrive. After 20 years of programming, I still find it hard to copy a command’s output; I always forget how to use `tar`; and I always have to relearn how to move my cursor. To fix fundamental accessibility issues, I believe we need to start innovating on the terminal,…

Hello HN, I don't post on here much, but wanted to get some eyes on a new project I'm just launching. I think we definitely need one more AI code agent.. I'm a long-term C++ dev, and over 30+ years I've created some successful audio dev tools (JUCE, the Tracktion DAW, the Cmajor DSP language). All of these came from me getting annoyed with something I had to use, and deciding to have a go at my own take on whatever it was. So Juggler is my attempt at an AI code agent, after spending too many hours loving what the models could do, but hating the CLI experience, and having some opinions of…

After training calculator agent via RL, I really wanted to go bigger! So I built RL infrastructure for training long-horizon terminal/coding agents that scales from 2x A100s to 32x H100s (~$1M worth of compute!) Without any training, my 32B agent hit #19 on Terminal-Bench leaderboard, beating Stanford's Terminus-Qwen3-235B-A22! With training... well, too expensive, but I bet the results would be good! *What I did*: - Created a Claude Code-inspired agent (system msg + tools) - Built Docker-isolated GRPO training where each rollout gets its own container - Developed a multi-agent…

Hi! I spent 3 years evaluating LLMs for OpenAI, Anthropic, METR, and other labs. Kept running into the same problem: AI workflows break in production because there's no clean way to add human oversight, handle failures gracefully, or deploy without choosing between "all cloud" and "all self-hosted." WeaveMind is a visual workflow builder in Rust. The core idea is that humans and AI are interchangeable nodes in the same graph. When a workflow needs judgment, it pauses, notifies the team via browser extension, first responder picks it up. There's also an AI assistant that generates workflows…

Since I mostly work within the terminal, I wanted an AI coding assistant that integrates seamlessly with it. Something I could call from SSH, integrate into scripts or just invoke quickly without leaving the shell. Most existing tools (at the time) were either closed, required various dependencies, or tied to a specific vendor. I wanted a free, open-source alternative that: - installs with a single binary (useful on bare servers) - talks to any LLM endpoint and especially self-hosted open weight model - could run headless, composable, and Unix-like SHAI stands for SHell AI! Along the way I…

Hey HN! I'm Christos, one of the co-founders at Shuttle[0], and I'm really excited to share some tech we've been working on over the past few months - Shuttle AI, a tool to generate and deploy fully working Rust backends & services from a single prompt. Looking at the latest advancements in the LLM field, we started wondering about how we can enable the machines to do more for developers - and as a company that’s focused on developer productivity, we found that our infrastructure-from-code stack could be the glue the machines need to not just generate code, but also take a step forward and…
