Hey HN, We built ClawdTalk to let AI agents operate over live phone calls. Most agents today live in chat windows. The moment you try to use them over voice, things break: latency matters, interruptions happen, and the agent has to execute tools while the conversation is still live. ClawdTalk connects your Clawdbot to the phone network. The agent gets a real phone number. It can make and receive calls and run the same tools it uses in chat, but under real-time voice constraints. One of the reasons this is hard is infrastructure. Many voice stacks stitch together separate telephony, speech,…

Hi. My name is Eric Brandon and I’ve built an AI chat app that feels really different. While you talk with an AI model in a chat pane, a second AI model is reading over the conversation and seeking out useful, interesting, surprising, amusing, and fact-checking information that wouldn’t have appeared in the main chat. You can read those “discoveries” on their own, or click them into your main chat to steer the conversation in a new direction. This is based on the observation that talking to smart people is usually more enjoyable, interesting, and informative than talking to a smart AI.…

Hi all, we’re happy to present this demo we’re calling “DeepAI Hotline”. We were interested in ways to bring ChatGPT capabilities to people around the world, particularly those who might not be comfortable with computers and smartphones. We felt that the old-school phone system was potentially a good way to do this. We built this using the Vocode SDK: https://vocode.dev (YCW23). Some of the feedback we’ve heard is that it responds to questions impressively fast, and it feels relatively natural compared to older assistants like Siri. Another funny one: “Feels more real than some…

Hey everyone, I've been hacking on this idea with a friend as we've been using chatgpt and other AI tools in our day to day work and find ourselves copy/pasting to each other frequently. We often share chatgpt links with each other, but it's been frustrating that they are read-only and we can't pickup the conversation or both talk to an LLM with shared context. We built a shared chatroom to explore what it'd be like to talk with multiple LLMs and humans in the same chat, and so far it feels pretty cool, but we're curious if anyone else would find it useful as well. Right now you can: -…

Hi HN, TL;DR Mirror AI is a cross-platform desktop action oriented LLM. Instead of just replying with text, it can run terminal commands, move files, hit APIs, send email/messages, schedule calendar events, query databases etc. - and chain those steps in one request. Why I built it Chatbots are great for answers but stop at the “OK, now go do it” moment. I was copy-pasting between ChatGPT and my shell/IDE/Gmail far too often, so on red-eye flights I hacked a bridge that lets an LLM execute tasks under a permission layer. Friends asked for it, feature-creep happened, and here…
