Hi All, We built a prototype telepresence robot to go up against AnyBots. We're using an iPad as the control system and for FaceTime video conferencing. It took us a couple weeks to make. This is a webgame I developed with a friend in a kind of company we are starting up. In the game, you will find yourself in a room full of robots. One of them is your human opponent, but you don’t know who he is. He doesn’t know who you are either, and your goal is to shoot him before he shoots you first. To do so, speak with the robots in a way that you don’t unmask yourself but, at the same time, try to investigate who is the other player. I'd like to know what do you think about it. Thank you.

We kept hitting the same wall building voice AI systems. Pipecat and LiveKit are great projects, genuinely. But getting it to production took us weeks of plumbing - wiring things together, handling barge-ins, setting up telephony, Knowledge base, tool calls, handling barge in etc. And every time we needed to tweak agent behavior, you were back in the code and redeploying. We just wanted to change a prompt and test it in 30 seconds. Thats why Vapi retell etc exist. I've been experimenting with ways to increase AI adoption for non-technical people. Basically, all companies are pushing for AI because it's all over the news and they feel left behind but most people have no clue where to start. I think 90% of people (ie non coders) are sufficiently well served by using cowork instead of claude code or something similar. If we can get people from sales, customer support, marketing, etc to collaborate with skills and cowork to form a company brain, I think it's gold. Two months ago, my friends in AI and I asked: What if an AI could actually use a phone like a human? Saw the remotion claude skills launch earlier, and honestly even though I was surprised how decent some of the results turned out to be I ended up never trying it out with claude code because I knew I'd have to setup remotion, bundler etc and if I was already doing it once I thought I might as well turn it into a site where anyone could just write messages and get a video without any prerequisites. Hey HN! Thank you for all the support and feedback on my original submission 2 months ago. I've been improving the backend using a MCTS/AlphaZero approach and it's currently producing much better results. My long term goal is to allow users to manage multiple projects, deployed autonomously, both from scratch and by making continual updates all prompted with natural language. The cost of each project has been lowered to $9 as performance with smaller models has improved (I migrated from Claude-3-Opus to gemini-1.5-flash). Thanks for checking it out!

I've built a prototype of a conversational agent with an inner monologue, who gives the illusion of consciousness. And, according to Attention Schema Theory, consciousness is an illusion. So, this chatbot may be conscious. It's built with OpenAI's Completion API (based on GPT3) and React. You can test it / fork it at will, it's open-source. Around 3 months ago, we were thinking why none of the iPhone apps running an LLM are built as a full harness (as in inference + agentic loop + context management + tools + MCP servers and etc.).
